Ruth was the angel of succulents before we even appreciated them. What was considered ugly and twisted in nature encouraged her to plant, replant and develop a culture of beauty and harmony. This elegant unban garden demonstrates how we can use environmental nerdy to beautify urban landscapes. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about their garden and growth of succulents

Borges Ranch

The hills are a most incredible shade of green in the spring. In addition to the historic ranch complex, there are several trails for hiking, biking or horseback riding. The trails are well marked and well maintained, mostly gentle rolling hills not steep inclines. You may run into some livestock along the way and definitely bring binoculars for the birds. There is some quail habitat that is being restored. On a spring day, there is nothing better than getting out and enjoying the fresh air and flowering trees and poppies.
