Vilassar de Mar (Catalan pronunciation: [biɫəˈsa ðə ˈmar]) is a municipality in the comarca of the Maresme in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated on the coast between Premià de Mar and Cabrera de Mar, to the north-east of Barcelona. The town is both a tourist centre and a dormitory town for Barcelona, and is also known for its horticulture. The main N-II road and a RENFE railway line run through the town, while a local road connects the municipality with the C-32 autopista at Vilassar de Dalt and Mataró and Barcelona. The famous canned food company DANI is based in Vilassar de Mar coming from a Vilassar family.

There are some really nice walks varying in difficulty from the well-made paths leading up from either Argentona or the car park on the Cabrera side, or find your own way via a more-challenging route through the woods. The views from the top are great - one trip we went up early to watch the sunrise, which was spectacular.

I booked a SUP lesson with the guys and spent about 3 hours between the initial instructions on the beach and over 2 hours on the water. They were very friendly and helpful and made it a really enjoyable experience even though I was the only English speaker in the group.

Much more crowded than Aquabrava at Roses (which we visited on the same trip). Lots of summer camp kids, the picnic areas in the shade were overrun. Shortest queue for the slides was at least 20-30 minutes, so you need a full day to take account of queuing time. Food options are also very limited (the main self service restaurant was closed on our visit for no apparent reason), and expensive.
Staff much less friendly and engaged than Aquabrava too

After getting a confirmation to meet on July 2nd 2016 at 9 AM at the cruise terminal in Barcelona for a 4 hour sightseeing tour and then a drop at the airport. I called at 8:50 that morning to make sure everything was ok as agreed, especially 2 of the 4 passengers were older people and cannot wait for a long time. Jan answered me and said to call back in 5 minutes as he forgot. I called again and again and I kept getting the same answer, "I am working on it". Then at 9:50 we told him to forget about it. We stood in line for an hour for a taxi from the cruise terminal. Thanks Jan for depriving us from seeing Barcelona as we only had few hours there. To be fair he sent us an email to apologize, how dependable.

I would describe this experience as really unique one. The baths are well-designed and very practically placed towards each other. The place itself has a nice atmosphere which makes you relax immediately. I also tried wine ritual and was more than happy - the worm vine and head massage in the end made the treatment I had perfection. The centre has all amenities you need - just go there and relax%))

Alella has the smallest wine origin denomination in Spain and is located next to Barcelona. We reserved lunch at Els Garrifers and later booked a private Enological visit, that was amazing. Highly recommeded. English speaking staff, very nice and expert in all related wine issues....MoreThank you very much for your comments! We hope you had a great time in Alta Alella and we hope you could enjoy our AA Dolç Mataró with a good piece of dark chocolate at home! ;-)

Este parque se encuentra situado cerca del centro de la población. Dispone de zona infantil extensa con diferentes atracciones y juegos para niños. zona de arboleda. También dispone de estas comodidades: aparcamiento, lavabos, zona wifi, fuente. NJo se admiten perros. Muy buen parque urbano con magníficos equipamientos.

New place for drinks in the Maresme, for a quiet drink during the week or dance and listen to live music on weekends. Or to have a few beers watching the match on a 3-meter screen. Or for coffee or tea in the afternoon. Large premium assortment of gins, whiskeys, rum and vodkas, cocktails, craft beer. New management and environment completely renovated.

I have only good words for l'Atelier d'Stephane. It is not a normal restaurant, but a different experience. The chef, Stephane, is right there in front of you finishing and explaining the different dishes of his sampling menu, his inspiration and intention. No other tables but yours (we were 3 couples), just like if you were in the kitchen of a good friend that, by chance, is also an extraordinary chef. It was the first time I had the chance to taste the haute cuisine, and I am definitively looking for repeating, either there or some other hidden restaurant. By L'Atelier everything matches and is excellent. I will never forget his escalivada candy, a taste explosion in the mound, or his dried flowers. They do not feed, but you do not go to such a restaurant to be satiated, do you? Those flowers brought me to the mountais where I spent my childhood. And I could continue with all the dishes I tasted there. All accompanyied by a different wine for each section of the dinner. And before I forget, Stephane the chef is realy like a good old friend, with a charming french accent, what pass even better to the whole picture.
Really extraordinary, I recomend it and I will repeat as soon as possible!

A nosotros nos gusto mucho, si te gusta visitar ruinas es un buen lugar donde pasar un rato agradable. Ademas se hacen actividades culturales (música, talleres, ..) muy interesantes. Está prácticamente en el centro de la ciudad así que es muy accesible.
