Monte Grappa is a historical site that represents the most important pillar of Italian defence against Austria in WW1. Apart from the beautiful monuments erected in honour of those that fought at that very spot, there are tunnels and bunkers to search, artillery still in original positions, a lovely restaurant and breath-taking views of the surrounding countryside. This is a must-see on your visit to Northern Italy, it is well-worth the drive.
