Staying at the nearby Chateau Saint-Martin, I visited the old town / historic centre around 930am on a weekday. Several market stalls were still setting up, with most small shops within the old town (including bakery, fish shops, wine merchants, green grocers) having opened - or be in the process of doing so. At that time of the morning it was nice and quiet, which made for some great photo opportunities. Apparently it can get very busy later in the day.

Wonderful hilltop fortified town, stuffed with art galleries. The place is infused with some of the great names of modern art (Marc Chagall is buried in the cemetery on the southern end of the town), but there is lots of interesting art by artists you may not have heard of, and the town has a great ambience. We stayed as a family in an airbnb in town, and it is nice in the evenings when the tourists have largely departed. However if I did it again I would perhaps stay nearby and do a day trip.

Tourrettes-sur-Loup is most definitely worth several hours of anyone visit to the French Riviera. We traveled from St Paul de Vence, it’s just an easy thirty minutes drive through lovely countryside. We parked in the village square along side the locals playing Boules. Which ever way you walk in the narrow meandering streets you will want to take artsy photos. Keep going down and you will find a viewpoint with views right across to The Mediterranean Sea.
There is a Michelin started restaurant on one of the winding streets but it was closed for the season when we visited, but I will be back someday soon to give it a try.
Highly recommended village.

Enjoy the best of Mountain Biking on French Riviera, with 1001sentiers : MTB Tours & Courses in Maritimes Alps / Nice / French Riviera ! MTB Tours, Holidays, Enduro Trips, Skills workshops, Courses on-mesure, Training, etc... Awesome riding on awesome trails, from Mediterranee to Alps.
I followed one of Greg’s courses (switchbacks for dummies ;-)) in June 2014, and I would strongly recommend it.
- I learnt plenty of things and in a fun way. The coach is patient, and passes his knowledge in an understandable manner. Even somebody like me with a pathetic level managed to make the most of it, which is quite an achievement for the coach ;-)
- Greg (the coach) knows the Cote d’Azur like the back of his hand. He always has an unknown (to us) and fantastic trail up his sleeve to propose.
- Excellent value for money. Service is top notch (e.g brand new van)
Well, as a conclusion, I would add I registered for another outing in August (which is the best evidence of my positive feedback).

BeFreeToDive invites you to dive into the submarine world by the means that is most adapted to you: an introduction to scuba diving or snorkeling freely to the surface ! Or even by the most natural means: how about discovering the pleasures of free diving ?The notions of pleasure, discovery and security are at the heart of healthy diving and this is exactly what defines BeFreeToDive’s activities
In the summer of 2016 I participated in a 2-day freediving course led by Jerome. I have some freediving experience already, and in my oppinion the course was very valuable to both new and experienced freedivers. We started with training on land and in the pool, followed by two days of great freediving in the mediteranean that allowed me to reset most of my personal records! I hope that I will get the chance to return. Highly recommended!

Lovely pictures and an amazing mosaic in this small chapel. On entering you have a great impression of light. The same ticket gets you entry to the museum which holds a series of historical tableaux.

The home of Auguste Escoffier is a now a museum with several exhibits on this famous French cook, considered by many the father of modern culinary art.
If you love French cuisine, you have to visit this museum to discover the first amazing chef of French cuisine Auguste Escoffier. He is at the origin of the "delicate cuisine".
You can discover invention of Escoffier to facilitate the work of his brigade like stoner... The history of creation of "Pêche Melba" (and you can taste it free after the visit, very good) ! And lot of ustensiles, cooking, etc. And staff is very pleasant!

It is always interesting to see where an artist created his masterpieces. You get to see pieces of his everyday life. A must for art lovers.

This famous street travels along Nice's Mediterranean waterfront.
We stayed at the Hotel West End few minutes walk from the front beach. It is actually in the Promenade des Angles. The road is busy specially in the rush hour. However the Promenade it's walkable and safe and when it's sunny, definitely you can spend hours.
