My wife and I had 3 lessons between us with Lauder and he was superb. My wife went from non-skier to confident intermediate in less than a week. He is an excellent teacher and the booking process was very straightforward.

Alpine Experience

i have been skiing off piste and had technical lessons for the last 24 years with alpine experience. Chris and wayne were the people who took me from being a 1 week begginer to having the most amazing times off piste within 3 weeks and i have developed to be a very confident and reliable offpiste team player( if not always the most stylish, but i try) All the guides are fabulous to be with, really great company, will kick your arse if needed, but console and be gentle where required, they are amazing, speak loads of languages, and try to balance the groups so that all get the best of the day.The best is their knowledge of the mountains, if it does not look good, they will always pick what they think is right and the motto is : the mountain will be there tomorrow, lets get off safe today and we will be there tomorrow to get the best of it. I have had the most amazing 24 years and look forward to many many more with those lovely people. sandy quirk

Skiing experience: First time skier (23 years old). Lessons used: 6x3 hour group lessons in the morning (incl. additional 2 hours on the first day). Highlights: Alberto was an excellent ski instructor and helped me to progress from falling over on every green run to successfully completing red runs by the end of the week. He was very knowledge, patient and most importantly he was very fun to spend time with over the week. I thoroughly enjoyed my time skiing and I would definitely recommend going to the Oxygene Ski School if you are a first time skier and are looking for an fun, enjoyable environment whilst also improving your skiing ability.

British Alpine Ski School

Welcome to the British Alpine Ski School. We have more years experience than we care to mention in helping skiers get the most out of the mountains. For 12 years BASS has been delivering a quality product and an awesome team of inspirational ski coaches. We promise to enhance your skiing experience and enjoyment of the mountains and we are enthusiastic about teaching all levels and ages. Val d'Isere has long been one of the most popular ski resorts Having started life way back in the 11th century as a village, rather than being purpose-built as a resort, it still has a traditional charm. It has one of the longest seasons in the Alps - from December to May - and access to 300km of Espace Killy piste makes it a paradise for skiers and boarders of all levels. Its off-piste, too, has a reputation for being some of the world's best. Though you would think it a playground for the rich, Val d'Isere actually has something to suit all budgets and a thriving community.

BASS is different, they have become great friends as well as great instructors and guides! We have been fortunate that over the past 5 years our now teenage children have had the benefit of the best ski lessons and experience from Steve, Craig and the BASS team in Val D’Isere. This year the kids graduated black group and it hit home to me how far they have come from the first lesson with BASS as they flew past me on a very icy Plan M, demonstrating great skills under complete control and laughing with their friends. When they started with BASS at the age of 11 and 9 they had 3 years of lessons with ESF and had not enjoyed the experience. I was fortunate to have got to know Steve, Craig and Conkey from guiding in another resort. Steve said to head to Val and give BASS a try with the kids....the lessons are small groups (usually max 8 at half term) with English speakers (well - Wigan and Glasgow mainly!). It was the best decision we ever made, The kids loved it so much, they asked to go back every year, making great friends in their group (as have the parents) and looking forward each year to their week skiing with Steve and Craig. This year our half term was early so the group was only the four friends, BASS didn’t try to add in inappropriate level skiers, they took them all over the mountains in tricky conditions and had yet another amazing week. Sadly Steve wasn’t in resort (as he was sorting out BASS Norway - which we will have to try) but Craig has become the new favourite anyway (sorry Steve)! Given how good they are, I decided to have a morning guiding/lesson with one of the new additions to the BASS team (Dave), this proved to be a morning well spent as I learned how to properly ski Le Face at pace... I will be back for lessons and whilst the kids might have graduated ski school, they are looking forward to guiding by BASS next year! A long way from refusing to ever go in a lesson again..... I could genuinely wax lyrical about how good BASS are....but have run out of words.... thanks Steve, Craig, Conkey, Dave, Sam and the whole team. We look forward to seeing you next year! Tim (Rachel, Evelyn and Henry)

We booked Lynn for 3 hours every morning for our group of mixed ability children ages 5-6-7 and 9. The youngest had only had a few hours on a dry slope and the older ones had a weeks previous experience. After a few days of one to one hour sessions with our youngest she soon had them skiing together and left a big impression on them all. Lynn can translate her vast technical knowledge into a way the kids really understood. Will be booking again for our next trip without a doubt! Thank you Lynn x
