We strolled along the river bank enjoying the beautiful trees and the quietude. We have been to Uzès many times but did not know this lovely park was there.

Meduz brewery produced beers specially developed by our brewmaster in the spirit of Belgian beers and those of Northern France. Quality beers, unpasteurized and fermented in the bottle, with a pleasant freshness and rich unique aroma. Our beers are available from your dealer or directly from our shop, where you will find a selection of gift packs together with our full range of beers. With a short notice, you could also visit our brewery and understand how our beers are made. Do not hesitate to call us in advance to book a tour. You can also enjoy half a pint (25 cl) at our bar or, during the warm season on our terrace.

The 20 euro entrance fee and possibly the 135 steps to scale the spiral staircase to enjoy spectacular views seemed to put off most visitors. We were treated to a personal visit by the guide who was full of interesting information. (The tour was in French) The tower and ghost room are visited alone. There are explanatory boards in French and English. The guide showed us the cellar and explained the connection between Veuve Cliquot and the family. The private apartments were filled with fascinating portraits, furniture and models. The Duke and Duchess of Uzes visit every summer. The family have been in the town for a thousand years.

Such fun to be in the midst of all that candy! Haribo attracts many families with kids but we adults had a great time too!
