Troncones is a relatively undeveloped, uncrowded beach village located about 20 miles (32 km) north west of Zihuatanejo on the coast of the state of Guerrero. It is located in the municipality of La Unión de Isidoro Montes de Oca and has a population of about 593 people (2005 census). Hammocks and palm trees are in most yards, chickens roam the streets and loud nightlife is limited to very few weekly events, making for quiet nights. Some local hotels and restaurants offer special events such as Movie Nights and Dance Parties, mostly during the Oct-May high season. On Sundays, El Burro Boracho has shows of Mexican folkdance.

We've always stayed right on the beach in Troncones and it's worth it. The sea is made for boogie boarding and wave riding, long and shallow, huge waves. They next small beach south is perfect for playing in the waves. The beach seldom has more than 20 people on the entire length except for Christmas and Easter. Beautiful for long walks and sunsets. You can do 10k hikes along Playa Troncones around the headland to Playa Manzanillo, a beautul small bay with great waves, and around the next headland to Playa Majahua.

Having been to several beautiful ceremonies and having attended yoga at Radiant Heart Yoga & Cermonial Arts, I can highly, highly recommend it based on my experiences. Adriana is a beautiful woman whose ceremonies are beautiful and sacred events. The yoga platform and classes at Radiant Heart are intimate and powerful and the bungalows are peaceful and lovely.I look forward to many more experiences with Adriana at this blissful slice of paradise.

We had drinks and guacamole with chips here, watched the sunset, along with a bunch of folks. Beautiful outdoor “wild” garden setting, good drinks and very friendly service. At least in January, arrive well before sunset to get a table!
