Watch in your car or in a field with others. Usually has a double feature on both screens. The food is usually very good as well and offering actual food (hamburgers, hotdogs) besides just snack food. Usually runs during summer months.

Only con I know is that the screen seems a little dark and can be hard to see in dark scenes.

Raccoon Mountain Caverns

Raccoon Mountain Caverns is located just 1.3 miles off of I-24 at the Lookout Valley exit (#174), and is less than ten minutes from downtown Chattanooga. Visitors are presented with a cave in its natural state and our 45-minute (+/-) Crystal Palace Walking Tour allows them to view thousands of diverse formations - stalagtites, stalagmites, delicate soda straws, flowstone, rimstone pools, draperies, columns, natural bridges, and a rare shield formation. We also offer a variety of wild cave "spelunking" expeditions for those who want to view beyond the lighted pathways and explore deeper into the mountain. Our Waterfall Dome expedition permits visitors to view the areas tallest underground, natural (unassisted) flowing waterfall.

This was a last minute idea as we spent the night in Chattanooga the night before. I read online and the reviews were fantastic so my 10 year old son and I gave it a try. We LOVED it! I'm not even a fan of small spaces (elevators sometimes make me feel jittery) but I was able to do the Canyon Crawl. At first when she pointed where we had to go, I have to say I was a bit nervous....but by the end of our hike I was going head first into holes you were barely able to squeeze into. Scarlett, our guide, was very informative, friendly and knowledgeable. Go give this a try! It's SO worth it! Also -where old clothing - you are gonna get dirty!!

If you are a golfer looking for some gracious southern hospitality, wonderful lodging accommodations, and a very fun, challenging, and beautiful golf experience, Dogwood Hills Golf Resort must be on your "bucket list". Our group had a fantastic time and we really enjoyed ourselves throughout our 4 day stay in one of the well furnished and comfortable 4 log houses/cabins located on the golf course property. I would definitely recommend this wonderful facility to others who want a terrific golf experience, matched with a beautiful layout in northeast Alabama. Without hesitation, I can say that the back nine of the Dogwood Hills Golf Resort golf course is probably in the top 5 courses (in beauty) of any course I have played over the past 40 years....and I have played hundreds of courses. It truly is an amazing layout and one that you really need to see first hand and play, as photos of the course just do not tell the "entire story" of its natural beauty.

We had so much at Cloudland State Park. The waterfalls are absolutely beautiful as well as the scenery as you hike to get to them. The campsites are large and spacious. More importantly you are not on top of each other. The staff at the visitor's center were very nice and helpful. Plus they have all kinds of cute stuff for you to purchase to remind you of your stay. We will definitely be coming back.

Trees and flowers were just starting to bloom when we visited in late March, so I imagine in a few more weeks the views will be even more spectacular. There are so many different areas along the trail...tight rock formations you have to squeeze through, gardens, winding paths, bluffs with amazing views, bridges, and caverns. The one downside to our visit was that it was packed with people which made for a lot of standing and waiting. We'd like to visit again in the Fall or on a less busy day.

Be sure to be aware that they are only open to the public 2 Saturdays a month. We really enjoyed the visit though. The trails are well marked. The views are great especially from the lookout locations. We loved the rope trail as it was unexpected and unique. Sadly there was not a lot of water coming over the falls the day we visited but it was still a beautiful site.
