We drive thru here every Sunday after Church. It is a beautiful spot! Hubby bikes over there everyday that the weather is cooperative. Lots of families, picnics, special events. Park is kept nice and clean, handicapped fishing ramp, marina. Continual improvements.
And by the way, our son proposed to his wife there!

Lake Erie Metropark

Over 200 bird species have been spotted at this park, located on the Detroit River.

Reviewed By Sandy B - Chicago, Illinois

It's 10 bucks for a day permit. Which wouldn't be an issue if this park had something to offer. Lake Erie is contaminated with E. Coli and there are signs everywhere telling you not to swim in it. It smells awful through out the whole park. To compensate for that, there is a pool on the park grounds...8 bucks for adults and 6 bucks for children. LOL. What a joke. They charge to enter the park and then try to charge you again to swim in a pool because the lake is so dirty. There really isn't any enjoyable hiking as everything is just flat open, smelly grounds. There is a playground near the pool, but the smell is so bad it isn't worth staying there. Save yourself the disappointment and drive about 2 hours north, go to Lakeside Park in Port Huron. The beach is absolutely stunning, the water is crystal clear, you can swim in the lake and if you show up after 3 pm parking is free. Don't waste your time at the metroparks.

This is a quiet place to enjoy a walk in the park. A covered bridge just past the restrooms welcomes you to a walking path that locals use for exercise for themselves and their furry friends. If you want a longer walk the park is linked with Oakwood Metropark.
Trees have been planted but are still to small to give shade. The park is clean & grass mowed regularly. There is fishing along the shore just not on the bridge. There are events twice a year which provide live music & entertainment.

Even though I've resided in Romulus for a number of years, I had never visited Block's. I must say that I totally enjoyed going there. last week. All the fruits and vegetables at Block's.are farm freshed I do mean FRESH! It is a huge outdoor market. I purchased all my fruits and veggies for the week. Everything I purchased was fresh, ripe, tender and sweet. I have no complaints, They had a sale on fresh corn still in husk but they were only $1.00 per bag for all the corn you could put in a grocery bag. Amazing! I have revisited Block's twice and looking forward to returning. They also carry homemade jellies, jams and preserves. The workers there are very knowledgeable regarding their produce, also courteous and friendly.

Trapped DownRiver

A theme-based cooperative experience where a group of people are locked in a room and have one hour to use their surroundings and wit to solve a series of puzzles and games to gain their freedom. While staying away from the creatures that lurk in the room.

Reviewed By Dawn P

I've gone through both escape rooms and both were incredibly fun and exciting! The first time through no one in our group had done an escape room before. Wendy was helpful and professional the entire time. She quietly nudged us along the way if we seemed completely lost. The second time we went in the new Asylum room. Wendy recognized us and knew we didn't need as many hints this time. We knew to check EVERYWHERE and to use our brains a little more. The puzzles and characters keeps you on your toes the entire hour you're in there. It never slows down. I'd definitely recommend Trapped Downriver.

I booked a 45 minute helicopter tour of the Detroit area with a customer. The setup process was very easy. The pilot was friendly and provided a lot of local information as we travel down the Detroit river to downtown. The tour flew over the major sports complex and right next to the GM building. We flew over to Bell Island and many other locations. it was a great view of the city and we were able to see many beautiful homes on the waterfront.
