I went to Titwala Ganesh Temple. The Titwala Ganesh temple is very ancient and built in a typical architectural style of Maharashtra. The Titwala Ganpati, as it is popularly known, is flooded with devotees from all over Mumbai and nearby places, especially on Tuesdays, Chaturthis and Jayantis. It is great place to go.

This is a nice popular mall in Goregaon.
Situated adjacent to the Western Express Highway, the place is frequented by both local residents as well as people from surrounding suburbs. Has a number of shops and branded stores selling high end products,,wish they had variety in the value/not too expensive product ranges as well.
Food court at the top is also a vibrant place with lots of options.

Chinchoti Water Falls

Reviewed By Sneha K - Thane, Mumbai

This is a waterfall amidst nature completely surrounded by jungle. The water was flowing with good force even when there was no rains for a week. Nice to see such a great waterfall within Mumbai.
The place is easily reachable by public transport. Get down a Naigaon station on western line, ask anyone for ricks for going to chinchoti fata. You will get share ricks from station to reach chinchoti fata. They take upto 8 people in share rick, 30 rs per seat. From chinchoti fata there is a 2 kms road to reach to base of jungle. There are ricks available which takes upto 100 Rs to carry 8 people. We chose to walk this distance, it took us just 35 mins to cover this distance.
Actual trek starts from here, the road passes completely through jungle, the path is full of small pebles, rocks and mud. If you are nature lover you can enjoy spotting many types of flies, spiders, caterpillars, mosquitoes, butterflies, crabs, frogs, lizzards etc on your way.
There are many places where you can click pictures, sit to take breaks. Path is full of shade. The main waterfall is at a distance of 1 hour of walk for someone who walks with medium speed. The road is not having any steep slopes, no continuous climbs. In between there are many diversions which also takes you to small ponds formed naturally by the water from Waterfalls. The water in these ponds is also continuously flowing. This is a waterfall where you can go with your family with elder members as well because there is no slope to climb and nobody gets tired walking in this jungle.
The only disappointment for me was there were many groups having liquor and enjoying themselves at the waterfall but luckily there are many spots where people with family and children can also enjoy themselves. the area of waterfall is quite widely spread.
Precautions to take - Carry mosquito or insect repellent if travelling with kids, carry enough water and eatbles, carry plastic bag to bring back your garbage and avoid littering in jungle. Wear appropriate footwears because the stones in waterfall are very slippery because of the continuous water running through it. There is littterally nothing to eat once you enter the jungle. Be ready to attend to nature's call amid nature :P
