1-It has been advertised that Bali Waterbom is the best and biggest in Asia, but Dubai Wild Wadi is obviously bigger and to my opinion better ( in terms of design, safety and variety ). I think Bali deserves a bigger water park with more recreation choices, and I hope one day a bigger one with more facilities and better design be constructed.
2- The surface of the Waterbom is mostly rough and it really bothers the plantar of feet.
3- The slide towers are designed just for risk takers and adventurous people. For example, when you take stairs up to the top you can see the poor railing design which gives you the feeling of unsafety and insecurity. I think it would have been better if some parts of towers had been replaced by artificial hills to achieve the desired height. Besides, the steep slides give the feeling of free fall which is not safe for all people.
4- The slow current river is short and narrow.
5- It lacks some facilities like : perimeter slide which goes around all over of the park, artificial lake with beach and waves,... .

Gili Getaway

While there are many fast boat services that will transport you from Bali to Lombok and the Gili Islands, Gili Getaway will always go the extra mile for you.

Reviewed By rlecroy1 - Jeonju, South Korea

From start to finish, Gili Getaway was absolutely top-class when it came to customer service. They were very communicative when it came to email correspondence, and let us know the specifics of what was included in the price we were paying.
It is a bit more pricey than the other boat services, but the service provided and clear communication made all the difference, especially taking into account my wife's fear of open water and boat rides (she gets seasick easily). They picked us up from the hotel where we were staying on Mainland Bali, and took us to the drop-off point for departures, where they had water and towels available, as well as complimentary travel sickness pills and mentos. It was under a shaded area with Seating, and had a much better, more organized, reception area than other companies. Staff were friendly and helpful at the formal reception desk, and they immediately took our luggage and labeled it for its final destination. Staff also provided us with maps and let us know some basic tourist information about our destination island. They were willing to answer any of our questioms with a smile. They took our luggage from us discreetly and loaded it onto the boat expertly.
The boat itself was spotless with comfortable Seating (made with breathable fabric, instead of the cheap, sweat-inducing vinyl cover that other boat services use) and on ship entertainment. Staff also ensured that you had a water bottle in your hand before entering the vessel. The entertainment was well-designed, as you had the option of using headphones to listen the movie that was playing. If you weren't interested in the movie, you could relax and watch the waves go by while using their convenient (and surprisingly reliable, by Bali standards) free Wifi.
The staff briefed us on the journey stops, safety equipment and procedures, and restroom location before departing.
They also let passengers stay aboard the same vessel during transfer stops and the shorter journey between Gilis (other boat companies dump you on a steamy, crowded beach without facilities without any explanations during transfers; or, they
make you disembark to a smaller, uncomfortable vessel without facilities during inter-Gili transfers).
Seriously, I can't rate this company highly enough. Especially when comparing it to other inter-island boat services in the Bali region, staff and the boats themselves are absolute gems!

Turtle Conservation and Education Centre

Reviewed By Nat S

We visited the Centre yesterday and we were quite surprised how educational our visit was. There were quite a few different species of turtles that were either sick and injured or had been taken as part of illegal trading. The kids loved it and I'm so glad we made the effort to visit. You can see that the volunteers are so passionate about their work and any donations big or small make a huge impact on the Mission they are on! Keep up the awesome work.

Museum PASIFIKA

Museum Pasifika, located in Nusa Dua, Bali, was established as a permanent institution to showcase these styles and forms for all humanity to study and enjoy. With over 600 works on permanent display, the museum is an important complement to the scores of public museums in Bali and the region. Each of the eleven pavilions is represented: Indonesian, Italian, Dutch, Indo-European, Exhibition, Indochina, Polynesian, Pacific, Tapa and Asian, with engaging and insightful articles by some of the world's leading art experts. Museum Pasifika: Selected Artwork of Asia Pacific is a tribute to the artistic and cultural heritage of the region and is a required resource for all interested in the fascinating and complex region we know as Asia.

Reviewed By PaulnGail B - Coburg, Australia

This museum showcases some of the artistic history from the last 2 centuries where European and Asian culture has influenced Indonesia - in particular Bali. There are 9 rooms that consist of paintings, textiles and artefacts from those cultures. Each room is devoted to the particular country that has left its mark on Bali. We found the whole display to be very interesting. For those interested in the arts this visit would be highly recommended. Taking of photos are not allowed in the rooms but there are a collection of books that portray some of the artists on sale at the front desk. There is also a cafe there for snacks and drinks.

Bali Sea Turtle Society

Reviewed By SHILPI D - New Delhi, India

When mankind wreaks havoc on nature and society, few good people collectively come to protect nature. Hence Bali Sea Turtle Society was formed with an objective to protect marine life and contribute towards saving the planet. The conservation site has thousands of baby turtles in a place along with eggs ready to hatch. Each turtle is marked for release in the sea, ofcourse leaving it on its own fate. Every evening turtles are released in the sea and tourists participate in the activity free of cost. They are given baby turtles in a container and all of these are released in one go. Cheering up the tiny creatures and seeing them take their first plunge in water is a priceless experience. Kudos to the Sea Turtle Society for the efforts they are making. They also educate people about the life cycle and biology of Turtles and how they influence marine life. The center is open all days from morning through evening, but the activity of releasing turtles takes place at 4 pm daily at Kuta Beach, close to the center.

Walking distance to Le Meridien and Four Seasons hotels. Catch cabs from there. About 1 hour drive (included traffic jam) to Kuta, with about 80k rupiah.

Mengiat Beach

Reviewed By Anthony J - Gold Coast, Australia

Mengiat Beach is very nice and quite and relaxing. The beach area that we were at was very clean and had a nice view of the ocean. Unlike a lot of other Beaches in Bali, there were no locals trying to sell you souvenirs or give you cheap massages which made the vibe much more peaceful and enjoyable. You can walk south along the beach to look at the nice resorts or north up to Waterblow which is a tourist attraction where the waves crash up onto the rocks. Very relaxing!
