Špindlerův Mlýn (Czech pronunciation: [ˈʃpɪndlɛruːv ˈmliːn]; German: Spindlermühle, formerly also Spindelmühle) is a town in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. Located in the Krkonoše (Giant Mountains) range, it is one of the most frequented mountain and ski resorts in the country.

Spindleruv Mlyn is considered the preeminent ski area in the Czech Republic with good reason. There is every type of skiing or snowboarding available; beginner slopes, intermediate large open bowls, steep expert mogul runs, and scenic cross country skiing.
What is probably most comforting is the facilities and instruction for children of all ages. At Harmony Club Hotel they have superior facilities for teaching the joys of winter sports. The bunny slope is a real hill, with accommodations for complete beginners, (read conveyor belt lift), and more challenging runs, (read mid-bunny slope and then top of bunny slope), for slightly more advance beginners.
The beauty here is that the more experienced skier can buy a pass for the bunny slope and/or the whole mountain Medvedin. The little ones ski for free all day simply by getting on the j-bar. The unfettered access to the lift give them tons of time on the mountain which is what is needed to get better at skiing. And you can watch or join in with their progress. Then when you are done with the bunny hill, off you go to Medvedin which, at just over 4000 feet, offers fun skiing for all.
The hot wine and beef goulash at the concession stand at the bottom of Harmony definitely hits the spot and takes the chill off. But keep in mind there are restaurants all over so adults can take advantage of all of the benefits of the bunny slope throughout the mountain. All in all it makes for a really fun, all-day family experience. GO AND ENJOY!!!

The dam is just beside the road and worth a stop, wouldn't take a big ride to see it. We walked over the dam. Signage is in local language so need google translate to read it.
Activities on the dam like a zip wire and line to go down on the dry side of the dam.

Nice surroundings with two main attractions for kids - Bobsleigh and Monkey Park. Both are nice but average. Kids liked it. Another option is to take a cable up the mountain and rent a bike for the way down hill.

I was very surprised how the old place could be renovated - in very sensitive but also very modern way. Very inspiring in the top of the Mountains. I recommend to plan the lunch there.

ŠPINDL to stara pucharowa miejscówka z jednymi z najdłuższych tras zjazdowych na Svatym Petrze a drugim ośrodku o nazwie Medvedin, trasy są bardziej AM/Enduro.
Swięty Piotr oferuje długie trasy dużo przeszkód z drewna tzw. NS oraz szybką trasą DH z najdłuższą rozbiegówką w Europie. Na dole jest wszystko co trzeba; korty tenisowe, ścianka wspinaczkowa, gastronomia i parking a w pobliżu jest szereg dobrych i nie przesadnie drogich pensjonatów i hoteli. Polecam !!!

Atmosphere there is stylish. You are in a coal mine. DJ stand looks like a mining truck. We were there every day because the atmospere, music and really great alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The bartenders preparing tasty coctails and are very kind. We like this place. We would like to return. It was a shame that we did not see any DJ show.

Our most favorite party place/ night club in Špinclerůn Mlýn.
There is always good music, very friendly stuff and tasty coctails. Djs are cools guys which very ofne agree to play what you want.
Also place is spacious so you can enjoy your dance moves :-)
Giving only 4stars due to there are no snacks or finger food.

We arrived at the given time, after collection we had a lesson with a teacher from that school. So, it took us much more than expected, as apparently lady there was much busier with the phone. Therefore, we were late to our lesson for approx one hour. Nobody helped us to choose proper boots, we had to do it ourselves (but not ski, cause they had to be adjusted with special mechanism we did not know how to use). Boots for my little daughter were pretty old fashioned and it was hard to put them on. Our legs were hurt for 4 days due to the poor quality of equipment (ski wouldn’t detach from you if you fall so it’s easy to break your legs).Later on, we found out from another family that you can rent the equipment next to the Medvedi (place to ski and snowboard opposite aqua park ) for the same price but much better quality. And the cherry on top was that second teacher took us with the loooongest way to ski, which took us 2,5-3 hrs to get down (unlike the first teacher David who you can say knows what he is doing). Horrible school with terrible equipment which leaves bruises on your legs.

Забирают в центре города, напротив инфо центра у парковки и везут на гору на автобусе. Мы были в воскресенье, автобус был полный. Дорога очень красивая. По дороге показывают видео как ехать, тормозить, поворачивать и т.д. На верху выдают санки и поехали. Санную трассу несколько раз пересекает автомобильная дорога, надо остановиться и перейти пешком. самый коварный третий проезд, трасса резко уходит вниз и несколько раз поворачивает, страшновато, надо быть осторожнее. Но в целом всей семье очень понравилось. Вся трасса почти 4 километра.
Цена: 240 крон с человека, повторная поездка за 150 крон, семейный (2 взрослых + 2 ребенка) 850 крон.
