The Spøttrup castle lies between the rich farming land and the gap to the North Sea. Small but very well preserved castle showing the rather brutal living conditions through the centuries.
Some activities take place through the summer, so check out the website of the museum well in advance of your visit!
Do remember to visit the herbarium Gardens!

If you want to see at medieval castle this could be the one. It is a bit small, but a lot of fun running around in. You go around by yourself and can sped all the time you like.

Stedet er flot og du kan få lang tid til at gå på stedet. Der gives en masse informationer om Jeppe Aakjær og familien og det er bestemt et besøg værd. Der er den smukkeste udsigt features huset.

The site is a tunnel system where the Danes did lime mining up to mid 1900-s. It is a very interesting place to visit, and the local guide is a very good story teller. The legend says, that a local highwayrobber was living in the mine, an he had a love afair with the local parsons young wife. Do take a visit to this lime mine, but do not pass by the larger mine Mønsted Kalkgruber near by, which has a real mining train for passengers and a restored mining factory plus an underground lake which can be sailed upon in rowingboats. There is also a large place called the Cathedral, where Concerts are performed a few times over the year.

Vor Frue Kirke in Skive is a danish medival church from app. year 1100. It is very beautiful and has many saved frescos. The churc was restored some years ago. It is really worth a visit and is very picturesque.

Fint lille museum i dejlige omgivelser. Opdelt i båse med hvert sit tema. Mest fotografier
og udstyr, sejr dækkener i tilknytning til de mange flotte præstationer Tarok har udført.
Flot at mindet stadig lever. Jeg ville godt have haft nogen at tale med, men der var intet personale tilstede. Entre skulle lægges i postkassen og jeg skulle selv tænde og slukke lyset.
