Schijndel ( pronunciation (help·info)) is a town and former municipality in the southern Netherlands, in the province of North Brabant. Schijndel is located approximately 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) southeast of 's-Hertogenbosch. Schijndel was founded on the 6th of December in the year 1309. On 1 January 2017 Schijndel, together with Veghel and Sint-Oedenrode, merged into a new municipality called Meierijstad creating the largest municipality of the province North-Brabant in terms of land area.

Paaspop is the first music festival of the Netherlands’ festival season, held each year in Schijndel in conjunction with the Easter holiday. There are 12 stages, and more than 175 acts over the three-day weekend, featuring a wide variety of musical and theatrical genres. Paaspop is also well known for its decorations and other side attractions. Visitors who attend more than one day of the festival often choose one of the eclectic campsite options on the festival grounds.

De avond is nog jong, wat gaan we doen? Lekker een drankje bij café De Sok, aan de bar hangen en misschien wel de eerste meterbier van de avond bestellen. De meter wordt netjes opgeschreven op het krijtbord, op naar weer een nieuwe meterbier koning deze week. Het feestcafé loopt inmiddels al lekker vol, met ook deze avond weer een leuk thema, ondersteund door een actie op het krijtbord. Voor dat de eerste paar confetti-shooters zijn afgeschoten is het al een gekke dansende bende binnen. Van donderdag tot en met zondag is het hier "the place to be" als je even lekker vals mee wil zingen, uit de maat wil dansen en gewoon op zijn kop naar huis toe wil.
