Brilliant little jaunt out to see the areas surrounding Sorrento. Well worth every penny, visited view points & farms with wine, limoncello & mozzarella tasting, no limits either. They have products to buy too, but it's optional with no pressure. The driver was fab too very jolly & informative. Really great time out.

We booked two trips with this company whilst staying at an hotel which was in the hills above Sorrento. Each time we were picked up from outside the hotel and transferrred to Marina Del Cantone. The first was to Amalfi and Positano, and what a great way this was to see these two great places arriving by sea. We travelled in the Rosely, and the Captain was great, circling the boat around each time we passed a point of interest. We had a great commentary from a lovely young lady, very knowledgeable and funny! We had two and a half hours in each town, long enough to see the great Cathedral in Amalfi and get a snack. By the boat we stopped off at the "Emerald Cave" but to be honest this was not worth the 5€ each to view. Very small and the greedy boatman, who was devoid of any charm, was only interested in his tip! Needless to say we arrived in Positano and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Great for works of art, and lovely gelato!
Our second trip the following week was to Capri. On the boat we had guides Vincenzo and the lovely Giovanni! They were both so helpful! We had been told by people who were staying in our hotel to pay the extra 22€ for the bus transfers from the port up to Capri and Anacapri. The guides put no pressure on us to do this, and would not accept payment until we were back going home after what they hoped was an enjoyable day. Boy were we pleased we did this. Capri is just so busy! We chose to go to the Villa San Michele, with Giovanni whilst Vincenzo guided others to the Blue Grotto. Giovanni's knowledge of Capri and its history was wonderful, We left him outside the Villa reluctantly really as I was so keen to see the home of Axel Munte. Sadly we did not have time to take the chair lift up the mountain, the queues were far too long. We rejoined Giovanni after exploring Anacapri, and were taken back to Capri town. We were walked out to the Augustus Gardens with Giovanni pointing out places of interest. What a great day! Safely back in the boat, we were treated to a lovely trip around the island of Capri, again with the Captain turning the boat around at points of interest. What a great company this is with such enthusiastic staff who go above and beyond to make your day memorable. Mille grazie especially to Giovanni, who I may add has a beautiful singing voice!

We did the morning tour to the bay of Ieranto in the company of Luca, our guide .It was an absolutely amazing experience in the transparent kayak which allowed us to see the marine life all through our journey along the coast. We stopped off in the bay of Ieranto for a swim and some snorkelling and we were able to see up close the beauty of the marine life and enjoy the spectacular scenery. Luca, our guide was a lovely person and very well informed on the area and it's history which made this experience even better. I would definately recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get a closer look at this wonderful area. It is not strenuous as we went at a very comfortable pace and stopped often when Luca pointed out something of interest.He also took photos, even underwater photos of us and also some video which he sends to you by e-mail so you don't have to worry about taking photos yourself.
Thank you for giving my niece and I an amazing experience.

We took the Blue Train Tour on the day before we left. The tour is absolutely brilliant and lasted for a good three hours, great value at twenty euros each. We visited many places on the route and various sites to view the sea, Capri etc. We called at a Limoncello factory, tried mozzarella cheese and tasted different olive oils. Our 'driver' was very amusing and knowledgeable.

This was a true highlight from our trip to Italy. Beautiful little beach with turquoise and clear water. To get there, there is a 45 minutes hike. Efforts are paid-off by the magnificent view you get along the way and by swimming in the sea. Note: When we went, someone got a minor sting from a jellyfish.

The 3 tenors concert is held in the Musee , a delightful building with atmospheric courtyard. Prosecco is served before the concert.
The concert is in an intimate room and it doesn't matter where one sits as one has an excellent view.
The 3 tenors perform arias from various popular operas. The pianist and other musicians were excellent too. This is not a "stuffy " event it is light hearted, fun but very entertaining. The 3 ; have amazing voices and the concert passes too quickly.
The room and it's interior design adds to a very atmospheric performance. Afterwards we had our photos taken with the tenors.
I took my teenage daughter who is definately not an opera fan but she was totally mesmerized and agreed that it was a wonderful night out, totally entertaining.

Walk through the town centre, from Piazza Tasso, following the signs for the "beach lift". You will enjoy the full Sorrento sea-view and if young, enjoy the walk down to the "beach" which is actually a line of jetties covered in sunbeds and umbrellas, for a refreshing swim in the sea. Others can use the beach lift for less than 2Euros.
Enjoy the view with a cappuccino at the cafe on the corner.

Driven by our caretaker who had taken us by boat to discover Capri and its wonderful caves, we arrived at the entrance to this extraordinary watercourse, separated from the sea by a natural rock arch.
Passed the arc separating the pool from the open sea it is possible to bathe in a swimming pool, bordered by the rock surrounding it and making this corner a little paradise for the bather.
The name comes from that of the homonymous queen Giovanna, who at the beginning of the fifteenth century seemed to be solitary in this place to bathe, accompanied by his young lovers sheltering from prying eyes.
The Bagni also houses a true house of Roman times, the Villa Pollio Felice, dating from the first century BC, of which unfortunately there are only a few remnants.
You can also access the Baths from the ground, through a path and a staircase.
A fabulous experience, not to be missed for those who had a couple of hours during their visit to the island.

We had driven to Maria del Cantone a couple of years ago while on a visit to the area - we really enjoyed it, so much less built up than other places on the Amalfi coast, but we remembered that parking was tight, the beach pebbly, and though there are free beach areas, the pebbles make it uncomfortable to spread a towel so the loungers are the best way to go - but cost some money.
So this year we were prepared. First, we stayed within walking distance. A bit uphill and down, but the water was crystal clear, and we had already planned for renting the chairs. Luckily, we had come down to dinner at a little hotel on the first day of our stay, got into a conversation with the owners, and they let us use theirs for free during the week! They only could not let us use them on the weekend, as they were fully booked and needed them for guests.
Second, we were armed and ready with beach sandals as really, it's so rough on the feet to go to the water barefoot.
This is a very family-oriented beach and it seemed most of the people there were Italian. Great people-watching and a charming ambiance - it isn't all 'beautiful people'.
The water was crystal clear all week, as was the weather - mid-June.
If you've seen the hot spots of the Amalfi coast and Sorrento, come here to slow down.

I have just returned from an afternoon shopping In Sorrento. Limonoro was one of the highlights. The samples are plentiful and yummy - we had a couple of different limoncellos and about three chocolates each - all absolutely delicious. Of course we did buy some choccies and limoncello but there is no pressure put on you to do so.
