me and my bf had an amazing day trip in the pampa (in Areco and in the estancia) with Areco tradicion. we really enjoyed it and def would recommend it. great way to learn about the gaucho culture, experience the pampa and asado! best empanadas!

I wasn't familiar with this artist but his style is engaging as well as being relevant to this area and the museum is well worth spending a half hour or so in. There was also a small photo exhibition with gaucho photographs in a separate room.

This church opened in 1728 and is remarkably well preserved. It is located on the main plaza and always open for viewing. With a colonial feel on the outside and a mix of Gothic and neoclassical styles on the inside it is well worth a visit. One of the first buildings in San Antonio de Areco this led to the town's foundation.

This is a pretty nice place a short stroll from the town's center. The Museum is fairly informative and the park is very pleasant with good information on the estancia's life and history. A good way to spend a couple of hours in San Antonio... and even for free!

Imperdible en Areco. Parada mas que obligada para llevar chocolates surtidos y sobre todo los Alfajores. El local es cómodo aunque hay gente siempre pero son muy amables y dejan probar antes de elegir lo cual ayuda mucho.
Excelente, volveremos!.

We went to the estancia for un dia del campo (a day in the countryside) - we had wanted to stay for a couple of nights but they were fully booked - it was incredible! The most beautiful, relaxing grounds, loads of friendly cats and dogs, delicious asado lunch, and to top it off fantastic horseriding with a gaucho. They allow their guests to take the day exactly as they want to - slow and relaxed or as much horseriding as you can fit in! I didn't see the accommodation but I'd be back here in a heartbeat to stay! One day I will be back! Absolute highlight of our time in Argentina.

Simply the most amazing place if you want to spend an authentic "dia de campo" in Argentina. Juan Pablo is the sweetest guy in the world, and he will make your kids very happy riding horses, playing with cows and sheep. The dogs are the friendliest in the world, and the meat they serve at the Asado is really excellent. Decent wine, good music, all at a very affordable price. Honestly, do NOT spend hundreds of dollars in some of the neighboring high end Estancias. If you want a unique and real Argentine country experience, just go to La Florita. We will be back there next year for sure!

Un mini museo ferroviario hecho en una estación de tren en desuso, no es para ir adrede pero si uno ya está en la zona de San Antonio de Areco vale la pena visitarlo.

the bridge is a historical landmark in the small gaucho town. It appears that half of the bridge is gone as half of it was restored by a new model style bridge. Nevertheless, the old one is nice to see.
