This was super fun! It was a bit difficult, but we got through it. It is a fantastic activity for friends, family and actually which ever kind of group or couple you are. I went with my relatives, and everyone figured out some clues. Would love to come back!

Due to CoViD, with really nothing else to do on weekends besides hike/paddle or go out on the pontoon...Turtleback was my home on Saturdays in 2020. We have a lake house nearby in Chetek, so I'm in the area every weekend, year-round. I couldn't have been so lucky. Played there every Saturday from mid-May through mid-October. Turtleback has always been hailed as "The Best Course in Northern Wisconsin"...and it's so very fitting. Nothing else comes close. Immaculately maintained, this beyond-lush course offers challenges around every corner, and there are plenty of those. Four tee-boxes to cater to every golfer. Many blind tee shots. Terrain is very important to me...(who wants to play golf on a pool table?), and Tback offers plenty of terrain. The tee boxes and greens (more on the greens later) are both excellent. You're gonna wanna find your ball in the fairway because the rough on all 18 holes is really tough to cleanly get your ball out of. I highly recommend the new fad of neon/brightly colored balls. The white ones become maddeningly invisible if you're not in the fairway! The back nine is better than the front...so if you only can play 9, ask for the back 9. Bunkers are immaculately combed and in a fine sand, if you find yourself unlucky. Memorable holes include 2, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18...(!!) Turtleback is so named because of their challenging/undulating greens (in a turtle's back fashion), and also for the great deal of mounds that offer tricky lies outside of the fairways on just about every hole. The greens are amongst the finest I've ever rolled a Titleist on. It makes for a very scenic, quiet and serene place to play in the rolling, deeply-wooded terrain of Northwestern Wisconsin. The property itself offers two bars, including a gorgeous "infinity room" of an upstairs bar with wide open views of both finishing nines...9, and the incredible par-5 18th. Large ballrooms offer parties and wedding receptions, in a beautiful setting. The downstairs bar is a bit of a buzzkill, as it could/should be quite livelier. A remodel of the downstairs (golfers) restrooms is in DIRE NEED. That said, it's a gem of a property, and without question the highlight of Rice Lake, Wisconsin! I'm now proud to call Turtleback my "Home Course" and I know you'll love it too! **Pro Tip - for about $44 you can play Turtleback, with UNLIMITED HOLES after 3:30pm every single day spring through fall...you're welcome!
