Winetasting/winetours are available at 11:00 and 15:00. Booking in advance is required on our website: www.cartizze.com. PDC is the only Wine making farm specialising exclusively in the production of grapes and sparkling wine DOCG Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze. Two versions are produced: "Cartizze DRY" and "Cartizze BRUT". Located in the Cartizze hills, the heart of the PROSECCO SUPERIORE territory, PDC makes it its aim to cultivate vines and make wine following the most natural winemaking practices. Organic BIO cultivation, in the vineyards all processes are carried out by hand, from harvesting to pruning, whilst keeping phytosanitary treatments to a bare minimum.

A really engaging and interesting introduction to the region and prosecco with wonderful wines and foods. Beautiful surroundings, great to see the vineyard and fantastic knowledge of the product and production. 5*. I would recommend this to everyone. Our host was amazing - we could not have asked for more from our experience.

Last week I have hiked from Rifugio Gardeccia over Rifugio Vajolet further steep up to Rifugio Passo Santner and back= cca 13 kms. Harder part is from Rifugio Vajolet up to Rifugio Alberto.
Excellent views and experience.
Rifugio Gardeccia : accesible either by foot, bike or minibus (recommended).
Refreshment : in all mentioned huts, except the most distant one ( Rif. Passo Santner).
Take enough water to drink. Poles not necessary (at least for me).

The Nature Park is Puez-Geisler is of the most beautiful sites in the Dolomites. There are lots of trekking paths for every kind of physical condition and you can really get close to the amazing Mountains without long walks. Animals, rare flowers and plants make the park not just attractive for geologists but for everyone loving the nature.

The Tre Cime di Lavaredo are among the most beatiful and known peaks in the Dolomites.
There's a hiking trail going all around them. It takes about 4 hours going up and down at an elevation around 2300-2400 mt.
Try to do it on a sunny day and try to arrive early as it might get quite crowded. The view of the Tre Cime but also the of the majestic landscapes and other peaks all around are breathtaking.
Wild nature at its best.

Uncomparable with many places a lot more famous in Europe, it has absolutely nothing to envy. Hundreds of km of slopes, well maintained with good and well maintained lifts, chalets and restaurants serve excellent food and the scenery of the dolomites is just breathtaking

These Gardens have a perfect layout to entice you to spend a day strolling the paths and inspecting all the different varieties of plants there. Highlights for us were the range of dahlias and the tropical greenhouse. It would have been nice to do the Botanical underworld in English (at the time we went the languages were alternating between Italian and German), and it's just bad luck for us that the aviary was filled with birds that we find in our back yard at home but it didn't take away from the overall experience. We were here for about 3 hours but could easily have stayed longer.

We loved every minute of our trip to Mount Marmolada. The cable car ride is in three stages. Amazing panoramic views from the second and third stops. There is a souvenir shop, restaurant and museum at the second stop.It cable car might be a little pricey, but it sure is worth it. I'd do it again tomorrow if I could! Great covering of snow, which just added to the beauty of The Dolomites. It was very cold at the top viewing platform, but if you wear appropriate clothing (long trousers, ski jacket) you'll be OK.

In Bassano the Poli distillers sponsor a Grappa Museum where you can have a sip of several
different types of grappa.
It was fun to taste the variety and receive an explanation of each by a cordial (pun intended) young woman who works there.
On view are old stills with explanation boards of each stage of the process.

Went in a big group of mixed abilities skiing. We all had a great week, although a bit limited for nutters/very advanced skiers. We all agreed that piste map is dreadful and on piste signage poor. One sign actually sends you 180 degrees wrong way! Piste grooming good and some super long wide fast blue/red runs. Big area, would go back
