This is probably the most unspoilt of the Italian Lakes and well worth visiting, especially the peaceful island of San Guilo.

Cook on the Lakes

Cook on the Lakes is an Italian Cooking School on the Lake Maggiore, in the north of Italy. ALL COURSES HAVE HANDS-ON PHILOSOPHY! Every course has its own goals. We'll start to prepare the food all together as a group. We will know the recipes and their history, learn the basic skills, cook them. Usually all the lessons will start in the morning around 9 PM; we will work the whole morning until the food is ready and then we have lunch together; if your partners are around, they can join us for a small fee. When the course is finished, we will take pictures with your Italian cooking diploma and I'll give you a special souvenir to take home. Enjoy the location, totally surrounded by the nature and at the edge of the woods. On warm seasons the vegetables and other natural products will be available from my garden, from Germano's, my neighbour, a wise and expert gardener, and from the nearby local market place. If the weather is fine, we'll enjoy the food we cook outside in the garden and in the sun! See you soon!!! Francesca

Had a long cooking class with my wife and two grown children. We are "foodies" with some experience cooking. Francesca is a great teacher , conveying many tips and tricks. Class was participatory. Food prepared was delicious. We had the added pleasure of Francesca's husband joining in. Overall a wonderful experience. We look forward to repeating, and hope to have Francesca to our house if she ever travels to New York in the future.

Basilica di San Gaudenzio

Reviewed By lisanewyork42 - New York City, New York

Our friend explained that the actual statue of the patron Saint Gaudenzio of Novara is only viewable in January during the celebration of his onomastico. Some impressive architecture. Enormous statue of the Saviour that is inexplicably large and imposing until you find it was atop the tower originally. The dimensions then make sense.

We have visited the park on a very rainy day, thus, having got a place to hide from the rain............and to our surprise we got the chance to visit one of the best flight museums in the world, absolutely great place, very comprehensive collection of airplanes, from the very early models till the modern and futuristic ones.
We enjoyed especially the lovely collection of miniatures and the cockpit simulators.
The best quality indicator for us was the refusal of the kids to leave the place......... (we were 6 adults, 4 kids, 2 teens)

It wasn't the first time I went to this Faunistic Park, but I've always been too little.
Today I visited again with my parents and had a great time! The animals didn't seem very stressed aside from the tiger, the Amur leopard and the ocelot..
My personal favorite animal is the snow leopard because it's really playful and keeps you entertained when it's not sleeping :D
Overall I totally recommend this place for a nice day in the company of these peculiar species!

Vicolungo The Style Outlets

I would agree with some of the reviewers the outlet is not very impressive. The items are average and prices are not attractive.
The thing I like about the this outlet is the availability of parking and not too much crowded.
Overall it is probably worth visiting if you are close by.

Safari Park

Reviewed By exiledblue - Rovellasca, Italy

Positives, well set out, good value entry price, acceptable lunch price, good mix of animals, rides and other entertainment. Some childrens rides were in fact free which I hadnt anticipated
Negative, 6D at extra cost is badly maintained, it could not run to capacity as not enough glasses, the screen was a little out of focus (with glasses) or glasses were not up to the job. Toilets were not positive, apart from them being the whole in the ground style there are not enough so generally swimming pools.
Would still recommend it but as the season goes on the negatives need addressing.

Golf Club Bogogno

Reviewed By PaulCroughs - Londerzeel

these 2 beautifull golf courses are a challenge for all levels of play. The only disturbing point was the (season linked) amount of small flies and mosquitos disturbing your game.
The hotel is very nice, modern and big rooms,
The restaurant is average good, but the personel is a bit distracted as they do not always bring you what one asked for... But their very italian kindness makes most of it good....
