Stopped at the ACLT south trail heads to get one last hike in before we headed back home after our three day stay in area. The trails are quiet, well marked and are dog friendly. There is a port o pot available in parking area as well as trail maps.If we return to the area we would come back to the ACLT to hike more trails.

Mully's Brewery

Mully's Brewery is Southern Maryland's first production brewery! This family owned and operated facility started with a dream and a love of craft beer. Over the years Mully's has expanded their distribution to all over the state of Maryland. Their on-site tap room allows guests to enjoy a "flight" of beer in case they can't make up their mind on which style to drink. Mully's also uses their pilot system to experiment with different brews and always rotate their tap-room exclusive brews.

Battle Creek Cypress Swamp Sanctuary

Visited the Battle Creek Cypress Swamp preserve today. It is free, has a nice visitors center with an attentive ranger on staff, and is well maintained. A tree fell across the boardwalk and the trail is under repair. We downloaded the audio tour from the Nature Conservancy website, and learned a great deal about the cypress trees. Another highlight are the rescued red tailed hawk and barred owl.

A group of friends all purchased tickets to see a movie on Running Hare's big screen. The cost was $25/car and you could use your radio to hear the movie but I thought their speakers did a great job. Food, wine, wine slushies, beer, and popcorn were available for purchase. We enjoyed the pizza and there were two flavors of wine slushies in two sizes. They accept credit cards. There are porta-johns with hand sanitizer. You might consider bringing hand wipes, lawn chairs, and snacks. You can be "together" with friends and still social distance. Sign up for notifications with Running Hare to be notified of the movies they are showing for given dates.
