What a surprise that a whole multi-floor museum devoted to housecleaning could be so much fun! Don Aslett, the "King of Clean" has put together an amazing display of historical cleaning aids and products. If you don't like vacuuming now, take a look at it 100+ years ago when the machine required 2 people to operate! I took my 89-year old Mom and we both enjoyed it. We toured the main floor and the lower floor, with interesting items and incredibly witty captions everywhere. Given Mom's walking limitations, we did not go to the 3rd floor because the docent said it was more kid-oriented. But if the first 2 floors were fun for us, I imagine the 3rd floor is terrific!

Fun place to visit and there is a logical flow to the displays. Liked the early 1900's fire engine! This is a hands off museum so not something for younger kids. Allow 30-60 minutes depending on how much of a display informational sign reader you are.

Full Scale Replica of Fort Hall based upon archaeology and documents. Exhibits on both floors of log structures. Corner Lookouts are not open to public. See also the excellent History Museum next door. The pint-sized town between the two did not attract our attention ... mostly for grade-school field trips.

My wife and I visited this location on 9/2/16 to purchase some fresh produce. No one in store but signage gives prices, wt scale and payment jug. The other reviewers have come later in the year so we can only speak about the produce.
Directions: this is N of Pocatello on Hwy 91 (Yellowstone) at IH85. Go 5 miles N on 91 to Barton Rd, turn left and watch of signage to farm.

Natural history museum at Idaho State University.

This museum occupies a single floor of the old library building. They have their archives in the basement and the upper floors are used for other Idaho State offices.
The exhibits are a combination of visiting ones (an exhibit comparing what families spend around the world in our case) and ones that are made up of items that the museum has collected over the years.
They have several sets of bones from animals that use to live in the Idaho area, along with different exhibits related to Idaho history.
The staff seemed to be Idaho State students. One we talked to was studying anthropology, so working in a museum of natural history was a great fit.
The exhibits seem to be well documented with informative signs. Good for children that can read, otherwise it is just looking at photos and bones.
There was a separate area for school children and an area where young students could learn about buying food (different food items with a checkout cashier).
Definitely worth a one-time visit if you are on the Idaho State campus.

We drove around old town Pocatello and there is not a lot to see. The railroad houses are okay, downtown is half empty store fronts, and there is not a lot to see here. Other towns may be better, Pocatello needs work.

We visited Trinity Episcopal Church, which is a historic church in Pocatello. It was started in 1897, The church building was added to the national register of historic places in 1978, It is an active congregation which practices the Anglican/Episcopalian tradition.

We went on Tuesday afternoon - there a probably 15-20 different enclosures but it was so much fun! Most of the animals were out and active ... the bear was hilarious! Tickets are inexpensive and worth it. You can purchase extra food for the goat enclosure, too. It's an easy walk around the place. You can spend an hour or so there. Don't miss it, if you are in the area!

So my little family and I went to this park. We were so curious on how it would appear because we remember seeing being under construction for a while. After seeing it was open, we decided it was time to go. We liked the lake and seeing that you can fish in it. We found the amphitheater was very interesting and that there was plenty of space to walk and play sports. It really holds a great potential for sports, concerts, and fourth of July activities. Further, we felt that the pathways in some parts of the area could of been better especially for strollers. As well, they need to make a better path that goes around the theater to connect with the bridge.

St. Joseph's Catholic Church is in the general area of Pocatello which is referred to as Old Town. The church has a congregation that is very active in service to the local community. It's a great place to go for some quiet time, and to refresh the soul!
