Washington Rock State Park

From a facilities stand-point (there are none that I could see, including restrooms), this isn't much of a park. There was a bit of garbage about, but not too much. There is a short hiking trail over rocky soil and parking is available. So only 1 star for the park as a facility... Now the view... It's amazing. It's worth it just to look at that view. Look left you've got the skyline of New York City. There is also that standing where George Washington stood thing, if you're a history buff. There's also no admission, so what the heck, stop by if you're in the area. (I wouldn't say go too far out of your way though.)

Great little lake for walking (almost exactly a mile around) that breaks up the monotony of doing so with views of the lake, and surrounding residences one of which is a privately owned mansion. There is another body of water just steps from this one by this one has the nicest views. Park near the dam just past the gas station on the circle. There is restricted fishing (watch for signs) and there is a wonderful restaurant just steps away from the parking lot (Water & Wine) . Great place for a scenic walk or just to hang out as the area lacks these kind of amenities.

We used to visit this park in late 90s when we were living in Iselin. When we visited a few weeks ago, we were delighted to see the park so much improved with facilities and upkeep. There are spots for picnics, playing, place for artists to perform and everything a good community park should have. Felt very nice to be here.

Been here more than a dozen times, this time on opening night of Captain America: Civil War. We could not find seats on the main level and were among the first ones upstairs. There are a few chairs that don't work or are not comfortable so you get a feel for places you like to sit here. I was pleasantly surprised with how well they handled all the food orders and it didn't take forever like it did during Minions. My son loves it here so we have booked his birthday party here for this summer. Only issue we had was we could hear music from the kitchen and could not hear the movie. Someone went down to complain and they did some combination of closing the door and/or raising the volume of the movie. Either way it was resolved.

This is a little gem amongst some of the larger amusement parks in the area. There are mainly classic rides here for children and their parents. This is more geared to families with younger children, under the age of 10. The grounds were clean, and the employees were friendly. I have heard rumors that this will be the last year for the park as land is more valuable than the park itself. I spoke with a manager of the park, and he said that is likely the case. A friend found some of their rides listed for sale, so it seems as if this quiet treasure will not be with us after this season. If you have never been here, this might be your last chance.

This is a great local brewery! I came here this past week as I heard they were a great brewery and I really enjoyed coming here. The tasting area is small, but they have tables in the brewery itself, so there's room for larger groups. The tasters are affordable ($2-3.5 each) and they have a variety of styles, which were all really good; I particularly enjoyed their IPAs and their wee heavy. The staff were kind and it's just a fun place overall!

They only ask for a $2 donation as admission so how can you go wrong? They take in injured raptors and nurse them back to health and many then become residents. An easy walk among the enclosures and you can learn so much about these amazing creatures. Easy to find not far off Rte 287 - I came in off of Maple Ave and just be warned 99% of the road coming in is paved but there is a very small section of dirt but it is in good shape
