The Amani 180

Peace! This is the meaning of the Swahili word ’Amani’. Amani Spa is a hideaway and refuge on the beautiful Greek Island of Alonissos, in The Sporades. The azure, clean waters of the marine park are reflected in the purity of the products we use and in the professional care taken to treat our clients.

An absolute must visit!! My partner and I spent a glorious day here, the views over the pool are gorgeous and the grounds of the spa are beautiful. I love that this place is family run and you are welcomed with open arms from the minute you arrive. We both had the signature massage which was just amazing. Attention to detail is everywhere and following my massage it was a little chilly but I was offered a blanket to stay warm and whilst my partner received his massage I sat on the balcony wrapped in a blanket, drinking a mojito and reading... just heaven... utter tranquility. I will remember my day spent here when back in England in the dreary rain.. thank you

We rented a car from Deus Ex Machina and it was the best experience we ever had! The car was professionally cleaned and with excellent maintenance. The owner, Manos, waited for us in the port to give us the car; he also gave us plenty of recommendations for things to do and places to visit. He is really professional and friendly. Definitely recommend it if you visit Alonissos!

We sailed with Captain Pakis who was so knowledgable and told us the local stories - the beaches we visited including the shipwreck we incredible - because of Covid there was no food but this was made clear when we booked so we took our own packed lunch with us and it worked perfectly because it meant we didn't lose any swimming time while waiting for food - water and fruit are provided - there were 2 stops for swimming off the boat and one from the beach - beautiful weather, scenery and we had a fantastic day - definitely worth the trip!

Plakes Beach

Reviewed By NicolasC973 - Limassol City, Cyprus

If you are a fun of small secluded quiet beaches, then this is the place for you!! This amazing beach can be approached on foot with a 10 mins walk from the parking area through a wild nature path. If you take the path on the left, it leads down the beach, if you take the secret and difficult one on the right, you end up on the top of the amazing huge rocks (called plakes in Greek, after which the beach was named) where you can sit and enjoy the amazing view!! Access to the water only through the left path though, leading to the beach. The forest surrounds the area, and the waters are just amazing. A must visit!

The Alonnisos Museum

Reviewed By 752traceyf

The museum is found by walking through the shops and cafes at the port of Alonissos - up the stone steps and it takes you to the entrance of the museum. It cost us 4€ each and was well worth it. The museum was open from 11am to 6pm and has 3 floors of things to see that cover the history of Alonissos including the pirates of the Aegean exhibition and the National memory room. The exhibits downstairs covers the traditional crafts and occupations that are in danger of disappearing. This museum is well worth a visit and is a hidden gem - so much is contained in the exhibition cases for you to see.
