We didn’t do any hiking in the Park as my husband is limited with walking, but we did enjoy a beautiful drive to the top with one stop at a Lookout point!
What a view! Absolutely gorgeous! It was a clear day so you could see for miles. At the top there is a short hike up which I took- and you can view the entire area with markings that tell you what your viewing.
A morning well worth spent!

It can be challenging to get to Sucia Island, but it is worth the effort. Fantastic rock formations along the shorelines are a highlight of the place. Joining a multi-day kayak camping tour might be the best way to see the unique geology.
Be cautious if you paddle out there alone, if you don't have the right skills then you can get into trouble very quickly. The Strait of Georgia, just north of Sucia, is a big place, and any wind in the Straits can quickly turn the waters into a frothy mess. This is one place where it might be best to use a guided trip, unless you are quite skilled at sea kayaking.
There is fresh water available for most of the summer, but it is best to check before you go. Sometimes the wells dry up.

We spent a week on Orcas and bought some combo of oysters, clams, crabs, salmon, and smoked salmon to eat at home five out of seven days.
While we started calling it Hundred Buck Bay, the value was there so it didn't bother us.
I've also heard that eating there is a good option with a gorgeous view!
Buck Bay was a true highlight of our trip. *Big Smile*

We went in from the north end. Got as far as Waldron Island Overlook. Hiking on a moderately steep logging/fire road. Saw some interesting birds. We wanred to go out to Turtleback Head but recurrent injury prevailed.

What a great place to go visit... nested about 2 miles outside of "downtown" Orcas, close to the airport, the brewery is a great hangout. Bring your own food, sit down and enjoy. Great parking, good selections, indoor and outdoor seating, overall a great place to rest your tired legs from your outdoors adventures.

Established in 1981, our co-op shares its historic building, a renovated strawberry packing plant, with the Catkin Cafe, an all-scratch kitchen offering a menu that changes with the seasons and featuring island-grown produce and house made pastries. Located two miles past Moran State Park in the hamlet of Olga, the Artworks is a short walk from the boat-accessible Olga public dock.

Orcas Island. the Gallery features approximately 40 local Orcas Island Artists.
Paintings, sculpture, ceramics, woodwork, jewelry, and an Ecclectic mix of fine
Crafts...There is also a new addition of a sculpture garden on the grounds.The Catkin Cafe is a lovely place to have breakfast or lunch...there is inside and outside seating.
It is a child friendly cafe...The building used to be an old strawberry packing facility,
And is listed as a Historical Treasure of the island...A Must see while on Orcas.....

Should be #2 on "things to do" (Mount Constitution is my #1). Great wine tasting - really laid back and kind of rustic but good company (the girl working was super personable) and the wine was reasonably priced :-) Nothing fancy but we really enjoyed ourselves and wished we would have found a way to bring home more of their wine!
