This small museum is all about steam engines and their contribution to America's economy in the 19th century.

If you love trains, this is the place to go! It's history is very interesting, and you can get right up close to view trains of different times. AND, you can ride one to another town, and back, which I would highly suggest!

PNC Field

We had such a nice day with family and friends. This field is home to the minor league Rail Riders (NY Yankee franchise). The players are fairly good to kids requesting autographs. At the end of the game we saw, they allowed little ones to run bases. You can order food delivered to your seat(for a fee). It's a great location - The field is immediately off route 81. There is a good shopping center, a cinemark, a visitor center and hotels nearby. Seat prices are reasonable ($10 -$14). You pay $2 to park and $4 for water. A nearby ski resort has summer water park and zip line activities so you really can make a weekend out of your ball game plans.

Love Love Love this place. The girls who run it are very welcoming. Don't hesitate to give it a try. The classes vary from beginner to experienced, but you don't have to do something if it doesn't feel good or work for you. Very relaxing

Susquehanna Brewing Company

I visited for a charity event and was BLOWN AWAY. I have been to many breweries and tasting rooms. From the outside, SBC looks a bit industrial. Inside, the tasting room is as warm and friendly as a neighborhood pub.

The beers are exceptional. Pick a favorite? That's hard. The lager was a workingman's everyday dream. The imperial stout was divine. I am not big on shandy's so I skipped those.

All in all, I can't wait to go back.

The Electric City Trolley Station and Museum

Reviewed By John L - Medina, Ohio

I have never known much about trolleys. When I lived in Pittsburgh, you could ride the trolleys in town and across the Mon in the south hills, so when I visited the museum I learned about the cars, their propulsion, and those little details that humanize cold steel and wood. One of most interesting features of the museum is a ride on a five-mile (ten miles total) trolley out to Scranton's AAA baseball field. It was quite a trip. There is an excellent bookstore and gift shop. I highly recommend this. In addition, it is next door to Steamtown so you can get all steamed up in the morning and then ride in an electric streetcar. What a deal!

Cinemark 20 and XD

When the other large movie theater in town only has the newest releases, Cinemark has those and other movies that are interesting by not showing in other areas around town.If there is an independent film or a concert available by video, or classic movies to be celebrated, Cinemark is the one that can be counted on to celebrate the arts. They are not just strictly commercial; they believe in celebrating the arts and promoting culture.

Scranton Lake Walking Path

Reviewed By Elie6 - Galway, Ireland

This is my go-to for running while here. As of mid-may, still closed bc they are being precise about clearing the hanging limbs and branches (from the tornado damage) from the trees before they let anyone on.

If its open when you get here, it is worth it. Go near dusk, see many animals.
