Damon Point

Reviewed By Sherri S - Tacoma, Washington, United States

This was our 5th visit to Ocean Shores. We had never been as far down the beach as Damon Point. The kids loved it there. They loved checking out the driftwood structures that people had built. Finding a crab and looking for rocks. This beach will be our go to spot next visit.

Was closed, but the outside displays were interesting. Especially with the provided information. Sad statistics on how many whales were killed by the local industry historically.

Went to the casino to pass some time while staying in the area. Not being a gambler we set our limits at $20 or two hours. Enjoyed the non-smoking area and sodas. We enjoyed our respit out of the rain.

Playtime Family Fun

No one would ever know this place has the most high tech gaming system on the Washington Coast. My teenagers were drooling over it. We came last week of March so the go carts were not going yet. But theassive amount of Ice Cream flavors hit the spot. If you are staying in Ocean Shores and your boys or teens are bored out of their mind this is the place to come. Not much to do in this quiet little town, but now you know where all the action is happening.

Fusions Gallery

Reviewed By Gwen P - Spanaway

Years ago my husband and I strolled into Fusions. Unexpectedly we walked out with several unique one of a kind pieces of art, and a lifetime epic friendship with one hell of a person!!! When you go to Ocean Shores it's a must that you stop in the gallery to see what's new. It's an adventure when you stroll through the shop in wonderment. Stuart hand selects the many various artists that show their work, and there's something special for everyone's artistic tastes. I recommend making it a ritual as my husband and I do. Besides, you can have a piece of art that nobody else has, great prices, wonderful experience, and a memory to last a lifetime!!! Go in to Fusions, I promise it's worth it.

Buddy and Howie's Candy

Reviewed By eireandthegirls

My family stopped in to get some taffy during our holiday visit to Ocean Shores. We have four children ranging in age from 14 down to 2 years old. From the moment we walked in the door we felt uncomfortable. The staff behind the counter stared as if we were there to rob them. We quickly picked out the candy and as we were having it weighed, the man behind the counter saw that one of the 2 year old twins had picked up two pieces of taffy. We did not realize she had it, or we would have had it in the bucket. I have no issue with them pointing out she had some in her hand, but the demeanor of the man was rude and accusatory. If the staff does not like children in their store, perhaps they should sell something other than candy.

Our third summer in Ocean Shores and this is one of our first stops upon return. It became quite evident that word is getting out about this quirky hideaway. It is on the street between McDonald's and the Convention center going north, about 1 block and look right. It still doesn't jump out at you but, there she be. This great find provides tasty micro beer, variety of warm nuts to enjoy and a fun mix of locals/visitors celebrating this quirky find.

Griffiths-Priday Ocean State Park

Reviewed By davidvanlauwe - Olympia, Washington

This is a 1 1/2 mile beach. Beautiful sand, lots of shells. You enter and park near 10 picnic tables with water and restrooms. To get to the beach go farther down the road and take first left, wide path of sand and follow for about 1/4 mile and you will see a large bridge. Cross the bridge, over the dune and a beautiful beach and ocean is in front of you. We went mid week, only six other people on this LARGE beach.
Also, if you go a couple miles farther up the road on the left you will see a sign that says "Public beach access". This is another very large beach that you can drive vehicles on but there are no facilities.
