February 27, 2022 Renato Branum

Conquering New York in one visit is impossible. Instead, hit the must-sees – the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art – and then explore off the beaten path with visits to The Cloisters or one of the city’s libraries. Indulge in the bohemian shops of the West Village or the fine dining of the Upper West Side. The bustling marketplace inside of Grand Central Station gives you a literal taste of the best the city has to offer.

I completed my 200hr teacher training at the Dharma Yoga centre. As soon as i walked in the place felt like home, the staff were so friendly and helpful and the yoga i had never experienced anything like it before. The teachers at the centre are phenomenal, truly inspirational, always available for help and questions and teaching standards are super high. You really do learn from the best at the Dharma centre. Dharma Mittra himself is this playful character that is full of love and wisdom. I looked forward to our sessions with him and learning from the master. The training was intense but something i would definitely do again, i miss attending and learning from the best and hope to be back again soon. It truly is a special place that i would highly recommend you visit even if its just for one class! It really is a truly life changing experience and one that has helped delve deeper into my own practise and teaching. I came away with so much more than when i first stepped foot into the building. If you have been considering taking this training, i would just like to give that gentle push of do it! It's an experience you'll never forget and one to cherish forever. Thankyou Dharma and to everyone that was involved in my time there. Hope to be back again soon!

Escape the Room is a fun, real life game taking place in an office in Midtown, New York City. While it looks like any other ordinary room, it's actually a mystery puzzle. Find the clues and solve the puzzles to earn your freedom and "Escape the Room." You have 60 minutes, so be quick! Come with your friends, family and coworkers and have a great time.

After doing many room escapes around New York city I would say Escape the Room is my favorite. Pros: Many room escapes seem to cater to the masses but these puzzles are challenging even for experienced escapers. Most of their rooms have many twist and surprises making these rooms feel big and make the 1 hour feel longer. The newer rooms have upped the quality of the set design and are very high tech and well crafted. Cons: If you care about set design or atmosphere some of their older rooms have fairly basic design. Some puzzles can feel unintuitive but there are usually hints if you get stuck.

Tucked away on the northernmost point of the new Hudson Yards shops this gallery showcases some of the most original art I've ever seen. In particular, BNS and DAIN are the artists that drew me into the shop. The art here is very modern and some of it may be mildly offensive to some, only making the shop more intriguing. Words on this site will not do this shop justice. Just go and visit it.

What a fabulous magical evening! Dan white was clever enough to create a wonderful virtual magic show that was as good as his performance at the Nomad Hotel. I loved that he mails everyone a black magic box that must sit unopened til the performance. The contents are all fun and mysterious, opened during the course of the evening. Dan is quite the Showman with an engaging personality and his magic is top notch!
