One of the best wine tasting experiences we have experienced. Definitely off the beaten path but worth minute or mile spent. Boyd provided a great tasting with an assortment of cheese, crackers and meat. Natalie's offers a wide selection of varietals which initially drew us to the visit. So many great Pinot Noirs in the area we were looking for something a little heavier. Natalie's was the perfect stop. Small producer with a phenomenal selection. We joined their cellar club and are looking forward to our first shipment.

After tasting Pinot Noir for a couple of days, this was a fun and different tasting. All bold reds, without a Pinot to be found. The double aeration worked very well. The owner was very friendly and we enjoyed talking with him.

Vidon Vineyard

A boutique winery on a petite vineyard. Tasting room is in the winery; has a great view with outside seating. Premium wines - Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, Tempranillo and Viognier.

Reviewed By pskalsky - Los Angeles, United States

Vidon is a small, family owned winery that produces a variety of wines from chardonnay to pinot noir to syrah. The tasting room is small and attached to their production facility, so you really get to see it all. The owner, Don, always shows up to greet and mingle with guests and tell his story. The wines were excellent so we had to buy some to share with friends and family.

Our server Haley was super and knowledgeable about her wines in particular and all wines in general. We had the best tasting ever. I just wish the wines were less expensive but you get what you pay for.

Beautiful park and lots of trails for hiking/biking. Some of the trails run along the Willamette River and lots of shade. There's a historical Butte Country Store you can easily hike to. Nearby is an old homestead. Fun to read the postings about it's history in the 1800's. Plenty of tent/trailer sites for camping. They also have cabins and yurts you can rent. Plenty of areas to play frisbee too. Day use permit is $5

Alexana Winery

As long time residents of the Washington state Columbia Valley wine region, specializing in Merlot and Cabs, we recently ventured south to Oregon's Willamette Valley for Pinot tasting. During our week in the Valley we experienced tasting rooms ranging from mediocre (at best) to excellent, with one at the "exceptional" level, Alexana, The tasting room is elegant, yet comfortable, and the patio is awesome, with breathtaking views. The Staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. The Staff member who seated us on the patio was delightful and she individually brought wines to our table, each presented with detailed and interesting information. We spent 45 to 60 minutes at Alexana with six tastings - the most enjoyable wine tastings we have ever experienced. I note that one reviewer has stated that the wines were "pricey" and that there was no cheese or food - we were not there for cheese or food, we were there for the wines, and the prices were very appropriate for the quality of those wines. The Pinot Noir, the Grand Blanc and the Pinot Gris were all exceptional, and we purchased several bottles. To date, this has been our most memorable wine tasting experience.
