We've been going to this mall since it opened. It certainly has changed over the years, and we miss some of the "nicer" stores that were there in the past, but we still enjoy it. It still has a pretty good variety of stores. We go to shop, and to the theater, but frequently, we have lunch on the 4th floor, then we walk, doing a circuit of every single floor. Then back to the 4th floor to the Starbucks in Barnes and Noble for a decaf. Because we're retired we only go during the week, and so avoid the crowds. It isn't the most attractive mall, but there is plenty of parking and it's close by where we live.

Edward Hopper House Museum & Study Center

Edward Hopper House is the birthplace and family home of artist Edward Hopper and now operates as a museum presenting early Edward Hopper work and memorabilia, as well as the work contemporary artists. Edward Hopper House is located in the village of Nyack, NY, easily reached from New York City, Bergen, Westchester and Orange counties as well as Connecticut.

I was really interested in visiting Hopper's House during our last trip Upstate. The house is super cute, and they do a great job making it work with their limited material. There are no Hopper paintings, only some drawings from when he was a child and caricatures of his wife from later years. The caricatures are amazing, though. So funny, and tells a lot about his character. The lady at the reception is the loveliest.
