This "castle," a former estate, and the surrounding grounds, offer remarkable views of the White Mountains and Lakes Region.
I had last been here about 18 years ago, and the house has had quite a makeover. Fascinating to stroll around. There are lovely views, but the leaves were late this year. If you want to stroll to the waterfall, do it on the way up as there is a different road down. The entrance fee is quite pricy.

The rattle snake trail is a must do. Fairly easy to start and then gets a little steeper. Little kids may need a little help near the top. It took our group four hours for the round trip. Take a picnic lunch and enjoy the awesome view of Squam lake.

Moulton Farm practices sustainable agriculture and is dedicated to providing the highest quality fruits and vegetables while preserving its rich soil for future generations. We are now open for our 2018 season. Our farm market offers baked goods, prepared foods, cider doughnuts from Cider Bellies, seafood from Sal's Fresh Seafood, and a quality selection of meats, cheeses and other items from northern New England producers. Our garden center offers a wide range of plants and supplies for your garden, deck or patio. In September and October enjoy our corn maze and "pick your own" pumpkin patch and our full range of fall favorites such as pumpkins, gourds, cornstalks from our fields and pies from our farm bakery. In November and December in addition to seasonal produce, you will find holiday foods and decorations including locally grown Christmas trees.
Cider Bellies Doughnuts is right next to the farm stand. There's plenty of activities for the kids (tractor ride, corn "sand" box, corn maze, magic show). All around great place to visit with your family. Thanks for sharing how much you enjoyed our fall activities and the special magic show we had as part of one our "Old Farm Days" events. Always wanted to go here. Have gotten catalogs for years. Stop at quilt shops every where I go. Nice selection of fabrics. Having been to tons of quilt shops would have liked to have seen tons of finished quilts hanging from the ceiling. Thought they would have more classes. But overall fun stop for a quilter.

Quite possibly the oldest retail establishment in America built on the corner from the barn frame in 1781 we carry the items that other stores don't carry from penny candy to wrought iron hardware to an old museum above the store we're open seven days a week and there's some thing for everyone ages 3 to 100
Such a unique store to shop or just browse in. Only bought the Old Farmers Almanac but enjoyed looking at everything. I have been to this store starting as a child. The penny candy was a big draw then. They still have it but it...MoreThank you for your great review! Yes we have watched all the candy get smaller and go up in price over the years! Hope to see you again soon?

Affordable fashion jewelry and accessories. Retail/wholesale bulk pricing.
My family spent a week vacationing in New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont. We visited Beyond Obsession on our last day. It was definitely a highlight as far as shopping during our trip. All of the women traveling with us found things that interested them. Also found great gifts for people back home. Great deals that can't be beat!!!!! I also must mention that we arrived a few minutes before they closed at 5 on a Friday, but they stayed open just for us. The saleswoman was very kind and personable, but not pushy. She showed us some great deals and made our experience memorable and fun! Can't wait to take all our new treasures home!

Home to the Loon Preservation Committee, this center works to protect one of the best known birds found in the Lakes Region.
After reading about the center in a local paper, we took a drive out to visit. Their gift shop is extensive, more things Loon than I have ever seen. They have a 20 minute movie that is informative and relaxing, explaining about the life cycle of a Loon. The center has hands on things for young visitors and all the information about Loons that you could possible need. We watched the movie with a teacher who found books and a CD of the movie for a speech she was giving about Loons. There are a few trails but the red trail was a little overgrown and there were no explanations or guide papers for the numbered markers along the trail. Ask for the description paper before you walk to the trails. the center is located down a dirt road but it is hard packed and an easy drive. Worth the time and a donation as there is no fee.

This is a nice loop by parking at either side of the sharp curve. There's a small trail that connects both parking lots behind the pond. Both mountains have an interesting route choice near the summits, one has a ladder and the other has a cave-like lemon-squeeze route. You don't need to do either of those routes as there is a trail around both obstacles. On the other side of the road (route 113) is a larger parking lot for Rattlesnake Mt which is great for smaller kids.

...if you do not shop the Casual Cape...and OFTEN. The owners work magic decorating and selecting a large selection of unique and really cool items! Most items are for decorating your rustic lake home (things you probably won't find elsewhere), great odds and ends of furniture, and even some food items to serve at your next party. The stores stock changes often with new things arriving every week. If they don't have it, they have a lot of catalogs that you can choose form and the get the product ordered and in fairly quickly. The owners Vera and Norm are sweethearts and will insure you have a wonderful shopping experience. Even the store itself is cool - a historic, 1700s house that once was the residence of a Revolutionary War veteran!

Picking Season is officially closed. Will reopen around the beginning of July 2018. Thanks to everyone who has visited and made our farm a place to rest and enjoy. Angelic Farm is a place where quiet solitude reigns with plenty of fresh air and "all natural" (no pesticides or herbicides) blueberries are to be picked and enjoyed. Spend time and enjoy a family picnic.
I always visit Angelic Farm whenever we am in the area. They have the best blueberries I have ever had and the owners Jean and Jeannine are the nicest people you will ever meet. Definitely worth the trip.Thank you very much for your current and past patronage. We strive to make your visit an Angelic experience. See you soon.
