Our kids (8 &12) enjoyed the waterpark when we stayed at The Grand Lodge hotel. Waterpark passes good for both days of our one night stay were free with the room. Friend insisted we stop here on our way to Stevens Point. Recommend the mozzarella strings (oddly delicious - looks like long, thick spaghetti) and the Ghost Chili Gouda cheese. A little bit of this spicy cheese goes a long ways! Great flavor. Perfect for sandwiches, shredding over pasta or nachos, or just by itself!
Be sure to check out the trim bins - discounted cheese just because it isn't perfectly square!
This place also sells local jams, candies, and other home made goodies. They will cook cheese curds for you on the spot also!

Great location, fun hill to ski, and well organized lift system. The ski hill is right in Wausau with plenty of lodging and restaurants nearby, Great ski and snowboard runs with man made and real snow. No reason to drive up to UP of MI when you can weekend ski here.

Great historic venue downtown across from the green space in Wausau. Excellent venue to see live performances from music to plays. Adjacent space provides area for refreshments and place to visit with others. Prices of shows vary depending on popularity and demand. Not really a bad seat in the house but worth buying better seats if available.

Upscale bar food with great service and a wonderful view of the water. Fancy tropical drinks. Lots of happy people and a few unique menu offerings (such as deep-fried Alligator). A real escape. eat indoors or outdoors.

Biked here three days in a row. Came to the area specifically for the mountain biking. The signage and maps are very helpful. The intermediate trail are fast and fun providing over 7 miles of non stop fun. There also very challenging expert trails with very technical rock gardens and root traps.
This may have just become my favorite trail system in the midwest.

If you are a race fan then you already know of this place. This review is directed to those who just searched for something to do. If this place has a race that meets your schedule then you are in luck and will be entertained. You need not know any more than that, just go get entertained. Great facility and well managed racing. Good food and drinks too. All provided by experienced racers whom turned this place into a premier destination for Midwestern racers and fans.
