When I first arrived at Palamari's Center, I was impressed by the wooden houses and the little church, surrounded by a beautiful landscape. Very friendly staff welcomed me and offered me a unique experience. I have participated to a local cuisine workshop and I discover authentic and delicious meals.
I think Palamari's is a great place for spending a day or a weekend, with friends or colleagues.

Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle)

Dear Visitors to Bran Castle,On June 1, 2009, we celebrated the return of the heirs of Princess Ileana with Bran Castle’s rebirth as the first private museum and premiere tourist destination of Romania.June 1st Is the International Day of Children and Bran Castle’s day of revival.Fittingly, we have chosen to celebrate the day with special events for children, so that we may all remain fresh and young at heart.During the past year we have completed refurbishing the Castle, recapturing the spirit of Queen Marie’s favorite retreat and the loved home of her descendents. We have installed easy to read informational plaques and a media room for our visitors. We are currently restoring the park, as well as renovating all the facilities. We are also preparing additional cultural events and entertainment for our visitors.Following the Castle’s change of ownership, director Narcis Ion remained with the Ministry of Culture, but has continued to be our valued advisor. We have welcomed a new group of managing directors: Lia Doru Trandafir, Corin Trandafir, and Alexandru Priscu. We are happy to receive every guest that comes to visit us.Welcome to our castle, our home.Sincerely,Dominic HabsburgMaria-Magdalena HolzhausenElisabeth Sandhofer

Relatively easy to get to from Brasov, we decided to do a tour in conjunction with another destination and have the benefit of the guides knowledge.A lot of climbing is involved and the whole town is geared up for Dracula nic knacks.Entry is 40 lei with seniors 30 lei. There is a gruesome torture museum inside, extra 10 lei charge but worth it to see the exhibits.Pretty basic inside but you have to go.Great views over the surrounding countryside and it looked really lovely with snow everywhere.

Okay here you want to Shell out thirty lei for pictures, sixty lei for the grand guided tour. For thirty lei you can tour the downstairs but the living is all upstairs. I had to come back for another tour because last year all I did was a walkthrough.

Transylvanian Wolf

Dan and Luminita are the most wonderful hosts; if you would like to get a true taste of Romanian life and culture, cooking, and Wilderness, Transylvanian Wolf is a must. We spent two weeks in Romania and can say that Transylvanian Wolf was an absolute highlight. Dan and Luminita are so knowledgeable and are happy to share in Romanian culture and history and folklore. The rooms are charming and feature traditional Romanian wood stoves (a great perk for our fall stay!). Luminita's cooking is out of this world----be sure to try the blueberry brandy! We enjoyed our treks in the Carpathians with Dan very much and learned so much about the local wildlife and culture from his insights (Dan also gives great recommendations for activities in other parts in Romania---he ended up recommending visits to what turned out to be our other favorites activities in Romania---he really knows Romania tourism inside out). Bottom line---if you are going to Romania, stay with Dan and Luminita---you will get a real sense of rural, Romanian life. Thank you to Dan and Luminita for a great stay!

Cantacuzino Castle

Reviewed By Jazzumbo - Brasov, Romania

After confiscating the castle, the communists wiped out all the furniture, so the castle is currently empty. You could figure out its past splendor by looking at the ceilings, walls, doors and stained glass windows. However, the ball room is still majestic and when the guide opens the door to the balcony, well ... that view is breathtaking.
There's a restaurant in the castle's cellar and an art exhibition on the top floor.
