Very large aqua park with pools for kids, slides of varying difficulty degree, many mineral baths and aroma infused sauna, plus a salt infused resting place. Great for kids large and small. We spent 3 hours here as a family and had trouble leaving. Highly recommended.

Sniardwy is a lake in the Masurian Lake District of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, Poland. It is the largest lake in Poland with an area of 113.8 square kilometres (43.9 sq mi). It is 22.1 kilometres (13.7 mi) long and 13.4 kilometres (8.3 mi) wide. The maximum depth is 23 metres (75 feet). There are eight Islands on the Lake Sniardwy.

Yes, Mazuria is a beautiful place on this earth, and Mikolajki may not be the centre or the most beautiful place, but it surely is one of the nicest towns in the area. Ok, lots of tourists, lots of shops catering for tourists (should you not have bought any amber in Poland before, you can do it here), but also quite a few nice cafés and restaurants. You can also sit on a bench at the harbour watching the ships and boats. A town to relax and enjoy. Of course you can also go on a cruise on Lake Sniardwy/Spirding. And also Mikolajki is right in the middle of all those beautiful sights Mazuria has to offer.

The infrastructure build from scratch about 15 years ago in order to provide good mooring place in Mikolajki. It offers quite big port (although also quite narrow to maneuver) with 4 piers (one for private long term rental) and all facilities (toilet, showers, water refill, electricity). Apart from that many taverns, restaurants, pubs and stalls around. During the high season you should expect some events, Concerts taking place in the area around main tavern or on the Promenade (main scene might be on the raft on the lake) due to that and also due to general crowd it is not place if you want to have quiet night. Generally, I will not recommend staying there too often overnight but it is good place to stop for a few hours to stock up and see the town. As for non-sailor tourist, nice place to see yachts, eat some dinner or enjoy entertainment.

Pozwolę sobie ocenić tylko restaurację, ponieważ nie korzystaliśmy z usług hotelowych.
Przede wszystkim urzeka położenie siedliska, do którego trzeba dojechać poprzez rezerwat hodowli konika polskiego ewentualnie dopłynąć od strony jeziora mikołajskiego. Czuć spokój i harmonię. Czas tu zwalnia i można beztrosko rozkoszować się widokami, smakując powoli lokalną kuchnię.
Restauracja jest skromnie urządzona ale z klimatem podzielona na część wewnętrzną oraz zewnętrzną zadaszoną. Największym walorem jest jakość potraw, nad przygotowaniem których czuwa sama właścicielka Pani Marianna Koss. Kwalifikacje i wyróżnienia potwierdzone są licznymi dyplomami, które można obejrzeć i podziwiać w momencie oczekiwania na posiłek. Jej wkład w rozwój mazurskiej kuchni regionalnej jest ogromny za co bardzo serdecznie dziękuję, gdyż uważam, że trzeba wspierać lokalne, rodzinne tradycje kulinarne.
Obsługująca nas dziewczyna spisała się wzorowo i aktywnie reagowała na nasze potrzeby. Na jedzenie trzeba czekać troszkę dłużej, gdyż klientów jest wielu, a jedzenie przygotowywane jest na bieżąco na trzech palnikach :)).
Zamówiliśmy z rodziną następujące dania:
Zupa rybna po piracku lekko pikantna o posmaku pomidorów i papryki - nie mam słów aby opisać ten genialny smak !
Rosołek dla dzieci - domowy rosół z makaronem - dzieci wciągnęły wszystko
Pierogi ruskie i pierogi z owocami - nadzienie wysokiej jakości, polecam !
Do tego kartacze - rozpływające się w ustach z mięsem, zamówiliśmy trzy porcje -zniknęło wszystko, smak nie podrobienia, włożono dużo serca w tę potrawę - dziękuję !!!
Na koniec kompoty z jagód- pycha !!!
Wrócimy tu jeszcze raz na pewno.:))

We visited this place, because of a recommendation and found it a bit overdrawn, with lots of explanations about the glorious past of the region, sustained with on-the-spot performers...
The rooms at the hotel are country-style, with lots of wooden beams, but the bathroom, at least, is modern and spotlessly clean.
We had a very good and nice lunch in the garden, overlooking the lake. Recommended!

We stayed before in hotel Mikolajki and we were not happy with the experience there. Here in Amax much better experience. Traditional polish hospitality. We felt really Like clients! Service perfect. Breakfast very good and fresh . Perfect location next to Lake and forest. Great experience.

Jeden z niewielu słonecznych dni na Mazurach postanowiliśmy wykorzystać na czynny wypoczynek. Zamarzyła nam się rozrywka pt. pływanie rowerem wodnym po jeziorze Mikołajskim. W Wiosce Żeglarskiej można wypożyczyć rower nawet za 45,00 zł za godzinę. Ceny naprawdę z kosmosu, a jakość sprzętu pozostawia wiele do życzenia.
Po drugiej stronie jeziora Mikołajskiego działa Port Rybitwa, w którym można wypożyczyć łodzie oraz rowery wodne. Z tego co się dowiedzieliśmy, można wypożyczyć rower ze wspomaganiem elektrycznym (droższa wersja), jak i taki bez wspomagania. My zdecydowaliśmy się na wersję bez wspomagania i zapłaciliśmy 30,00 zł za godzinną przyjemność na wodzie.
Rowery wodne oferowane w tej wypożyczalni to super klasa i wygoda. Przeszliśmy mini szkolenie przed wypłynięciem (zwłaszcza gdzie nie pływać), nowiuśkie kapoki wrzuciliśmy na grzbiet i popłynęliśmy.
