Saint Luke Catholic Church

Reviewed By Gators89 - Gainesville, Florida

We visited Saint Luke for a Catholic conference last weekend. The church is beautiful! There is a very large congregation. Mass was about an hour long. The church is having a mural painted at the altar by a local artist. It was partially completed and it will look beautiful when it is finished. St. Luke's also has a preschool and elementary school on the grounds. It is a very nice church and school property.

We attended a field trip with our homeschool group to this museum and it was amazing! The guides were so friendly and informative. The museum was well-organized with each war/time period's items displayed professionally. They made us feel welcomed and we felt that they genuinely enjoyed showing us around and answering questions. More people should visit this museum, it is a wealth of information and memorabilia about a significant part of history.

Highland Horse Farm

We teach to ride quick, stop/go & turn. You don't have to follow another horse. Get use to your horse in the big ring quickly then Ride around the 7 acre farm on your own. It's real fun! Thank you, Kirk Kamish

Gentle, tolerant horses for first timers as well as veteran show horses available for riding. Kirks vast knowledge of horsemanship is invaluable to anyone interested in learning the various aspects of the care, riding and/or showing of horses. The farms atmosphere is one of being welcoming and family oriented. I would recommend this venue for a fun outing as well as a place to improve ones skills. As a bonus, right now there are colts being born!! They are sooo cute. Bring your camera. Do not wear sandals as it can be muddy and horses could step on you. Book a date and have some fun!!

Clay County Fairgrounds

The Clay County Fairgrounds host a great fair in the springtime. The Clay County Fair has a lot to offer. They have photography and art contests, pig races, rides, loads of fair food vendors, animal barns...it is a good time. Even my vegan travel companion found vegan food here. I was convinced there wouldn't be and I would never hear the end of it... but it was here (thank you ) .
There are plenty of parking spaces, admission is reasonable. If you like this sort of thing try to rope off about 2-3 hours to enjoy everything. Have a great time!

This park has a real nice little nature trail that is do-able for little ones, I wish they had left some trees for shading on the playground, as in the summer time the equipment is exposed to the full hot Florida sun and can make you feel like you are baking. Nice shaded picnic area for parties.

My wife and I have visited this facility several times, and it is always a pleasure! We usually venture up to the club level, where we can sit at the bar, enjoy a great meal, and the excitement of live greyhound racing. The betting window is only a few steps away, and the prices on everything are very budget friendly. We love it, and will be back for more!

Great place to walk, run or bike. There are trails off the main trail that give you an off road biking experience. The main trail is paved and a great place to walk or jog with a stroller. With all kinds of plants and trees plus a path down to Black Creek, you will enjoy a wonderful nature experience. At the main parking area there are bathrooms and picnic tables.
