Chateau d'Arsac

The château d’Arsac dates back to the 12th century. It’s history is rich and eventful. Today, the total area is 250 hectares area and 108 hectares of vines : 54 ha in Margaux appellation, 50 ha in Haut-Médoc appellation and 4 ha in Bordeaux Blanc Sauvignon appellation. From 1989 until 1994, each summer the château would welcome a new artist and since 1994, we acquire a new artwork wich takes place in the park, in the vineyard, in the cellars or in the château itself. At present there are forty monumental sculptures. Our guided tour allows you to walk inside our sculpture garden which relate to the history of the property. You will also learn in detail, the process of making wine with regards to the different appellations we have between the two cellars. Your visit shall conclude with a tasting of our three recommended wines in our tasting room.

A very nice and unique vineyard. The owner is an art collector so the sights of art work in the estate and amidst the vines is great. Wine was really good and affordable.

December is the rainy season in Bordeaux. But the rain added its zest to our wine adventure. Because all the outside was so gloomy and romantic! We really liked the excursion and the photogenic architecture of the main building. We especially noted the tasting from the barrels. By the way, there is no such service at other wineries. So we want to thank the charismatic wine tourism manager Anstasia, for our interesting, unusual and educational tour! We will recommend it to all friends!
