Rakh Bagh Park

This used to be a below average park but after undergoing complete revamp - there is enough to do here and hence its quite crowded in evenings and on weekends. Amidst all the greenery, they have made a cycling path here and you can rent bicycles for a nice relaxing ride. They have also started a toy train and some other activities along with a food cafe. Outside the park there are plenty of food vendors as well. Lot of families come here for a outing especially on Sundays. Entry is free and you can just enjoy some family time here without having to spend much money. Lot of people also come here with their picnic baskets. And of course there are lots of teenage couples here when there isn't much crowd.

Maharaja Ranjit Singh War Museum

Reviewed By W7927SH_

I'm a Japanese living in Delhi.
Visited here as I travelled to Ludhiana for the first time.
I've learned something as I did not know the journey and the achievements of the Maharaja, nor several other wars.
Also, some displays are impressive.
For instance, rifles there are incredibly big.
But ... after all ... wars are creating disasters ...
So, I cannot enjoy unconditionally...
Sorry

Gurudwara is located on Gohana Meham road (16A). It can be approached by a car. It takes around 3 hours to reach here from capital city of India. It is located adjacent to a pond. It holds historical importance as Shri Guru Teg Bahadur visited this place. The Gurdwara now stands in a compound entered through a double storeyed gateway. The assembly hall, on the ground floor, is mounted over by a domed pavilion on the top storey. People from neighbouring places/states assemble in large numbers on every full moon day. The biggest festival of the year is Hola Mahalla, which is celebrated in March. One feels at peace with self on visiting this place.
