Taylor Farm

We stopped by for some farmstead cheese and most cheeses in the case were made elsewhere. We did purchase some of their smoked gouda and it was good, but nothing we would return to purchase. Being very familiar with farms and farm life we understand the smells associated with them, but the odors in the store nearly made us leave before buying anything. They could use a decent cleaning in a store that serves the public.

The most unique experience ever. Everything you remember seeing, eating, playing with, products you or your parents used is right there to purchase and relive happy memories. Eat your way through the food section, sampling home made fudge, candies, incredible Vermont cheeses,, crackers, dips, cookies, etc. love that Vermont cheddar.. Great personal care items, as well as, a clothing section. Something new we noticed this year is the Sale loft. The regular prices tend to be a bit higher because you can't find these items in the general marketplace, so nice to see the Sale Section with 50% or more off selected items. ,you could spend hours there.

As seniors, my wife and I were content to watch our 12 year old twins enjoy the Bromley experience. They especially enjoyed the alpine slide and the water slide.

Enjoyed a horse-drawn carriage through the snow, with our group of grandparents, small children and all ages in between. The very nice, polite young people who handled the reins told us about working on a farm, the hurricane of summer 2011 and answered our questions about Vermont.
The scenery was beautiful, we crossed a stream, passed some horses in a meadow, went through an old apple orchard.
They provided blankets (which we needed). I'd highly recommend this activity, especially if you're from out-of-town. Wear boots and warm layers.

Stratton Mountain

The biggest single ski mountain in the eastern United States.

Mountain is great! Aside from a few “flat” runs, it’s a great mountain. Only downside is long lines for the lifts. They should install the scanner machines to someone doesn’t have to physically scan each persons ticket.
The village is awesome and very quaint. Nice to walk through after riding all day.
The ski school was great for my 4 year old. He had a blast. We dropped him off in the morning, got ourselves ready and waited for the lifts to open it was nice to know he was in good hands while we went on our own.

This is a wonderful place to go for a nature walk. We went twice during our stay. You did not have to pay to park, yay!

The lake is gorgeous, and there is a nice loop for people to walk on. There are also old cottages from the 1800's I believe, abandoned....very spooky and cool!

If you need a place to go for a leisurely walk, I suggest you check this area out!

Weston Playhouse

The Weston Playhouse Theatre Company produces a wide variety of live shows in picturesque Weston, VT. Bring the whole family! There's something for everyone on our stage.

Splendid summer theater.
Magnificent infrastructure and view of the stage.
Terrific Production of the script (this was Eugene O'Neill's 'Long Day's Journey into Night')

See the photos. Original building replaced (burnt down 1962) and rebuild has large lobby, vestibule, sitting room, porch to comfortably wait in.

I'm not an expert or opinionated, so I see top quality actors really into the script. I've heard (and been here before for a musical) nothing bad about the production or actors.

Lots of aside width! Be carful walking to your seat as the side aisles are not step-down but instead slanted downwards. Also, when you stand up from your seat, stand awhile you adjust to the slant.
Also, the seat number, to be certain, is on the underneath of the seat.

Parking is difficult in Weston. Parking around the Green fills up an hour early. Be aware. (Our day we went was heavy rain and too cool for summertime.)

We stayed in Weston fiirst week of February 2013 intending to do some cross country skiing but hardly any snow after big rains the week before. We checked the ski reports, and Wild Wings claimed to be open, so we went. What a neat place. They had just enough snow to allow for a good workout. They have good rental equipment, an out door potty, a warming shed, and later in the day a bunch of kids from a local school learning to ski. The people working there were very service oriented and made our visit very pleasant. There is no comparison between your experience here wit the husle and bustle of the big modern ski areas.

Meulemans' Craft Draughts

A specialty beer shop featuring over 300 quality bottled beers and growler fills from up the road to around the world. All rounded out with a selection of ciders, meads, wines, artisanal cheeses and Vermont products.

One of the best craft beer and cider shops you will find anywhere. It is easily the best I have found in southern VT. If you want cheap beer for your ski party, don't go here. This is for beer people looking for the next great thing or their hard to find old favorite. Plenty of local brews, but don't think this is just about VT. It is a worldwide selection. Would love to see them expand the cheese section, but then Yelp would have to change to allow 6 stars! Just. Go. Now.
