Awe inspiring sculptures and gardens! This is a must see place. I recommend arriving early before the heat and when the crowds were thin. I think the price is reasonable IF you plan to take advantage of your ability to use it over 7 days. But it would have been nice to have the option of paying for a 1 day visit, as we were leaving the following day. Still it was worth the $18 cost.

Took a day while on spring break and hiked the trails in the park. Great viewing of wild life and staff was informative to let you know the best spot to see gators. They also offer camping for those looking for camping spots. Spacious sites which looked like electric and water hook ups. We hiked one trail which was a little over a mile one way..my only complaint would be trails are not marked very clearly and maps were a little hard to read but our overall experience was a great time had by all in our group of 18 people all on spring break together.

Tupelo Bay Golf Center

Reviewed By VaAlleyCat - Ashburn, VA

We stopped by just to visit the driving range. We purchased a large bucket of balls and proceeded outside. We were hoping to use the covered bays, but the other golfers were set up in front of the covered bays (in the non-covered area), so we couldn't hit there. It was a HOT day, so we took turns driving, then sitting under the covered bay area to cool off. It was a nice range.

They have clubs you can borrow (for free) inside, but you need to bring your own tees. You can purchase tees, apparel, drinks, etc in the clubhouse.

This is more for adults than kids. It's mostly bars and restaurants along the inlet marsh. Great for listening to live music and relaxing. No chain restaurants, all local.

MarshWalk

Reviewed By BossQueenEJ - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

The marshwalk is better in off season, I think, just b/c there are fewer people. It is located on the water, behind the restaurants. You can see Goat Island, a great view of the inlet, the boats, and of course, the restaurants. At one end is the pier for the marina; it is worth walking out as well. You can stroll & stop or you can walk in a hurry up and back, although why you would want to hurry is beyond me. It is a free thing to do. In the past, during season, there have been crafts fairs but I don't know if they have them any longer. You can hear the music from the restaurants if you are on the marshwalk, which is a treat.

We rented a 17' and explored on our own for 1/2 day. Highlight of our trip! The rental process is super easy. Booked online, showed up, signed a few things, the owner explained the basics, then off we went on our own. Tommy showed us a couple of spots to stop and the route he suggested. We just followed that and it was so much fun to just explore as much or as little as we wanted. The return is easy as well! Definitely recommend for anyone who is looking to do something off the beaten path when in Myrtle Beach area!

Just completed our 4 hour fishing charter with Capt. Shannon...
We had 2 boats because we were 9 people, the pontoon boat held 6 plus captain and was completely shaded. The other boat had us 3 ladies.
What a great day! Everything was done for us, rods, bait, etc. All we had to do was bring drinks, snacks and sunscreen.
Capt. Shannon worked very hard to make sure we caught fish, and we did! Had to throw some back but did catch some nice sized Spanish mackerel. The others on the pontoon boat caught fish also, and the kids had a great time!
Highly recommend this charter fishing trip, you won't be disappointed! Of course no one has control over whether or not the fish will bite, but Capt.Shannon did his best and we had some luck.
