We enjoyed walking on the bridge in the evening and drinking cockteils at the restaurant watching the sunset. We also had dinner at the restaurant. Very friendly waiters and good food. A very nice ending of a perfect day.

La Vela BeachClub

Come to La Vela Beach if you want to get to know Versilia, the beach, the landscape and the atmosphere. "La Vela" is a private beach in Lido di Camaiore in the area called "Secco" in the green without buildings to spoil the wonderful view of Apuane hills and Mountains. From the beach you can see the magnificent triangular shape of Monte Altissimo, distinguish the highest peaks and even the form of a "sleeping woman" ( called "La Bella Addormentata) between Mount Lieto and Mount Gabberi. The colours change according to the season The Mountains are sometimes pale blue like the sea, sometimes dark grey and green with the white marble which looks like snow. The clouds play at covering and discovering the profile like the scenery of a play. To understand Versilia you have to feel the emotion of walking barefoot along the shore where the waves lap the fine sand and the shells of cockles. The air is rich with iodine which is very healthy even more with the strong wind and rough sea. Bagno La Vela is never too crowded, the gazebos and the umbrellas are well distanced and beach is perfect every morning. The design of the beach huts is unique and creates a space where you feel as if being hugged and protected by the winds of season. The bar restaurant is in the open, under the shade, in front of the sea. A place to sit and read, meet friends, have coffee, lunch with bruschette, salads and typical pasta dishes or an aperitiv watching the sunset.

The quality of the chairs and sun covers (gazebo in our case) was good, everything veray clean and tidy. Parking included in fron of the bagno. The cold showers were a bit low on water pressure, and for the warm showers an extra charge has to be paid. With all that the low-season price of 30 EUR was still well justified. Overall a good experience.

Bagno Il Cavallone

Reviewed By lil_blenky - North Yorkshire, United Kingdom

This was a nice enough beach club.
The facilities were clean and a reasonable price.
The service was relaxed but at times a little slow.
There was no music.
The sea wasn't great either.
The food however was amazing! I had spaghetti scoglio and my Husband had fruit di mare.
It's not really the beach clubs fault but the "lucky lucky" men ruined our time here. I tried to have a snooze and every minute or so one of them would scream or shout various high pitched crap to attract people's attention. It ruined the experience. Considering we had paid to be "in" somewhere, we expected at least to not be squealed at.

Bagno Timavo

Reviewed By 872barbarag - Reggio Emilia, Italy

Bagno Argo

Reviewed By Lisaht - Washington DC, District of Columbia

I had not been to Argo since 1994 or 1995 - but while it has definitely been modernized, it still has the same charm of a family beach Bagno that we were looking for. The staff were friendly and helpful, the restaurant and bar were fantastic (a great Fritto Misto and wonderful salads), and the whole location is clean and well maintained. So glad we went back!
