Vi hade världens skönaste tjejkväll på denna bastuflotte! Så fin service att bli upphämtade vid stenpiren och denna soliga sensommarkväll till sjöss kommer vi alltid att minnas.

Welcome to High Adventure, 15 min from Gothenburg! Book your adventure at our web page. The park is open 6 days a week.
The place is in the middle of the forest. You get an instructor that gives you a 15min. safety intro. Then you are ready to go! There are three "levels", where already the first is exiting. Interestly enough, you are so focus to deal with the next step, that you forget the issue of the altitude! Good equipment, great setting, primitive facilities. Sadly, the booking policy is not at all customer oriented...in real life things happend but High Adventures just want their payment...no vouchers available or "present cards". And last, a bit on the expensive side.

Bohus fortress is an unprecedented Nordic heritage. Forces from Sweden, Denmark and Norway has unsuccessfully besieged the site 14 times and during more than 700 years Kings, Queens, witches and saints have put their mark on the history of the site. Prisoners have suffered hellish torment in its dark dungeons and in the courtyard there is still a well, built by the toil of condemned prisoners. The fortress has been a ruin for the past two centuries, ensuring that its violent past is but a memory, today the site is a popular destination for excursions, far from gun smoke, witchcraft commissions and corporal punishment. Nowadays, foreign visitors are more than welcome inside its walls, where peace now reigns most of the time. Make a visit to the Bohus fortress, and be a part of the Nordic history.
We spent a couple of hours here before getting on the road. Pretty big and impressive old fortress with lots to read about. We don't have kids but could see and hear all the activities they lay on for families, which looked so good we quite wanted to take part!

I brought my husband and 4 year old daughter to Vattenpalatset in December 2012 and we had a great time.
We paid 100SEK for an adult and 60SEK for our daughter and I think that is brilliant value as there is no time restriction. You can spend the whole day there if you want to.
I found that the changing facilities were a bit messy and confusing. There is first separate changing areas for women and men, then you go in to the joint locker room where you leave your belonging and then proceed to the separate women and men’s shower area and then you finally arrive out in the actual pool. The system of the changing rooms means that you end up carrying your belongings around the place a good bit until you finally get out to the pool.
Bit messy and hard work when you have children with you but worth it in the end.
The actual pool area is lovely!
There are several pools with different depth and heat. My daughter loved the large heated pool with bubbles and there was loads of floating toys to play with. There are two large water slides and one kiddies slide.
We found the outside pool (yes, you read that correctly – outside pool!!) great fun and different, especially seeing it was -4 degrees Celsius outside.
There are three Jacuzzis and steam room and sauna in the relaxation area.
Found it great that there was a totally separate pool for children that are being taught how to swim.
There are always lifeguards on duty and they were very helpful and pleasant to deal with and so was the rest of the staff.
We were delighted that we were allowed to use our waterproof camera as many other pools will not allow this.
There is a small coffee shop that sells snacks, drinks and food and Seating areas to sit and enjoy it all. I think you are allowed to bring your own food but double check first if you are planning to.
I was amazed how clean the whole place was especially seeing food is being consumed all around the pool area but there were no signs of any rubbish in the water and the place is spotless.
Recommend this place 150% for a day/a few hours of water and fun.

Welcome to one of the largest botanical Gardens in Northern Europe. The cultivated part occupies 40 acres and holds about 12 000 species. It is a botanical garden with a strong emphasis on horticulture and the garden is divided into different sections linked by lawns with fine trees and shrubs. You will find a kitchen garden, a herb garden, perennial and annual borders, a Japanese glade, a rhododendron valley and a stunning rock garden with a waterfall. In the bulb garden you find species that are not grown anywhere else. The Greenhouses have more than 4 000 species including a large collection of orchids and carnivorous plants. The Eastern Island tree, extinct in its natural locality, is preserved here. The garden is bordering a nature reserve where also the arboretum is located.
It is not easy to get to if you are not familiar with the trolley system. Get some guidance, it's worth the effort. Stroll through the grounds ... the colors, the variety of plants and flowers, the vista's -- inspiring. You feel like you are exploring ... not standard trail but multiple paths - some out of the way, others follow the crowd. From Waterfalls to Japanese Gardens ... every corner you turn, some beautiful awaits you. don't rush .. take your time to enjoy and breath in the beauty.

You will want to bring a picnic here. It is open green space with a winding track up the hill and a mini zoo to go with it... what more could you want. Easy to access with transport and you can feel alone with hundreds of people nearby. Wonderful asset to Göteborg

Nice park, centrally located. Lawns, woodland, flowers, rose garden, two good cafés, a really nice playground for children, beautiful palm house and nice stroll along canal with nice old buildings on the other side. Always people there, but calm and relaxed anyway. Both young and old keep returning or just passing through.
Summertime open air Concerts. Also a restaurant-concert venue building with modern wood architecture.
Note: It is an enclosed park (with three entrances) and that it is closed during night (see closing hour at the entrance).
Minus: Busy road on two sides, so not that quiet.

Easy acess by tram or bus to various parts of the park, numerous tracks of various lengths for walking, jogging or biking, a super cute café, Bertilsson’s Stuga as a reward for your efforts, should you want to.........all in all a super nice big park to enjoy close to central Gothenburg !
