This boardwalk is smaller than most that I've been too but it's the perfect get away to escape the hustle and bustle and keep the kids entertained. A few theme park type rides, train for the smaller ones, plenty of restaurants, small aquarium, and the area is peaceful overall.

I found this place driving by in the area. We had a good time. The atmosphere is amazing. Smells like fresh coffee. The decor fits the theme. You have several options. We went to a mystery and dessert. It was delicious. Perfect evening for kids 12 and over because you work in teams. Lots of reading to solve the clues. I recommend for birthday parties, family outings, date night or even for work team building activity.

Dropped by this recently opened wine and cider bar on Dickinson Avenue on a Saturday night. Well lit parking lot had plenty of parking. Inside was large and modern but still felt comfortable and cozy. A friendly Labrador mix acted as the greeter and Raquel made us feel right at home. 7 tastings for 5 bucks was a pleasant surprise. All we tried were impressively good including a tasty mulled wine (at room temp). My wife tried and liked the ciders, too. We left with 2 bottles of the mulled wine ($10 each) and one bottle of the Honey Peach ($9). Plan on going back when they have live music scheduled.

David Braun Park at Lake Nassau

Reviewed By M J - Austin, Texas

Lake Nassau Park / David Braun Park is located at the southern end of Upper Bay Road, next to Lake Nassau. There is a nice boardwalk, baseball fields, tennis courts, large covered basketball court pavilion, restrooms, picnic tables, gazebos, fence dog park and benches. We loved walking on the boardwalk and watching the ducks. We also enjoyed watching motor boats and sailboats on Lake Nassau. There was plenty of parking and not many people were there on Friday afternoon.

Galveston Bay Beer Company

Reviewed By longhornjz - Missouri City, Texas

We visited this location with friends yesterday and had a great time! The service was excellent and the beers are creative and flavorful. You can get a flight of four of their beers for only $6, which is a great deal! They have one beer that tastes like a blueberry muffin (Blueberry Blonde). It was so good! They also have a stout that is made in a whiskey barrel, also excellent. Great place to visit if you are in the area!
