Funiculaire

Park at the top: €2.50 for the whole day! And suck the view at the top of the cliff. Go down by the stairs and come back up by the funicular (or use funicular both ways)- completely free! Beautiful views and spectacular drop. Turn right at the bottom for lovely shops and Main Street. Then you end up in the canal front. Turn left to see all restaurants/fish market/lighthouse/seafront.

Vue panoramique

Really nice that you can take the lift for free. It was still winter and cold so there was not much to do up there but the wonderful view. And that's what it is all about, no?

Le Kahl Burg

Reviewed By cattmacky - Almere, The Netherlands

We were Lucky to get in a Tour on the same day. Didier, the guide, was a passionate guide, and going by the reaction of the French visitors, very witty. Despite my reasonable French, he was difficult to follow. As the 'burgh' has only been an official and protected site since 2000, there is still a dearth of information regarding the building and systems. It was ransacked and plundered for the past 60years! It is all volunteer work now, and an important historical landmark! And cold. I agree with
Review above, dress warmly!!

Right on the seafront. Beautiful displays of all types of fish and shell fish. The scallops looked delicious. Lovely and clean and open to all.

Musee du Vieux Treport

Reviewed By Rob684 - Arnhem, The Netherlands

My wife and I (both 60+) love Le Tréport and we have been there several times and during all seasons. It's a beautiful and genuine working class fishermen's town. If you want to get into a bit more depth about the history and life in Tréport in the past, then the museum is a nice place to visit. If you have done your homework prior to your visit, and if you have visited this kind of museums before, you will not see many new things, but the place is very nicely done. You can tell that the Tréport people are proud of their history and they are right! The museum attendants are probably volunteers and very very friendly. If you really want to visit this place, you must pay attention to the opening times, these are limited, alas...
Admission is EUR 3 (at the time of writing). That is OK. Young children will probably get bored very soon after enjoying getting locked up in the 16th century prison cell.
If you are really into Le Tréport, seeing this is a must, otherwise skipping it will not ruin your holiday.

Walking in Le Treport sea front is special. The shore line is filled with very nice old houses of character, each with its own name and its own colour. Architecture is beautiful, you wont get tired of admiring all these beautiful houses. Really worth the stopover.
