The best brewery space aesthetics I have ever seen. There are lots of seats, and different seating arrangements. Even though there are often many patrons, very busy, the service was fantastic. The beer selection available is diverse and there are more taps than most brewed offer. Good snacks.

Garman Sculpture Works

World Famous, South Florida Artist, Sean Garman creates a mold directly from YOUR hands and then produces a beautiful, museum quality sculpture of YOUR HANDS that you will love forever and will be treasured in your family for generations! The molding process is fun and only takes anywhere from 10 minutes to 1 hour depending on the sculpture you want. Our Holding Hands mold process takes around 15 minutes and the Family Hands of 3 or more takes about 30 minutes. Body Sculptures can take a bit longer depending on the size and pose. When the mold is complete, the casting process begins. The mold is prepped and then the sculpture is cast in a very fine, architectural casting stone/cement that captures very fine detail and is durable enough to last for generations. When the casting is complete and the sculpture is fully dry, the finish is applied. You also have a choice of 3 finishes; Brass, Silver or Bronze. Add a beautiful wood base and your museum quality sculpture is complete!

I saw their page on facebook and although I live far away, my visit was worth every mile. What Sean does with his art is priceless. From the time you meet them, till the time you leave they treat you like family. They were so gracious and made my mom and I feel special. See my mom has been sick for a while and we have been in and out of hospitals. One night while holding her hand it came to me that Sean could memorialized such a special moment forever. So I called and the rest is history. Today I picked up my sculpture and it is amazing! I am forever thankful. I recommend it to anyone!!!

We happened to be on the Intracoastal Waterway (aka the ICW or I.C.W.) just before sunset. The scenery on the ICW changes constantly with different boats around you. There are many bars and restaurants along the ICW where you can dock your boat and go ashore to eat or have a cocktail. The skyline is ever-changing as are the sunsets. It would be a fun trip to take a tour boat along the ICW to learn more about the different buildings, homes or the history of the ICW.

Stranahan House

The Historic Stranahan House Museum is the City's oldest surviving structure. The story of the Stranahan House is the story of a family, a house, and a city. The Stranahan House was built in 1901 by Frank Stranahan, Fort Lauderdale's founding father, and his wife Ivy Cromartie Stranahan, the area's first school teacher. The house has served as a trading post, post office, community center, town hall and home to the Stranahans. The Stranahan House has stood at the center of Fort Lauderdales growth since it was built and played a significant role in the economic and social life of this community. Open daily for guided House tours at 1, 2, and 3pm. Special events, weddings, and holiday programs.

The Stranahan House is located on our beautiful river walk, the large trees and the water views are well worth the trip, as for the Stranahan house itself (in my opinion is a snoozer) but I’m no history buff! I will mention I was Married on this little stretch of beauty on the water & our reception was in the restaurant located directly next to the Stranahan house, At one time called “The River House” in 2005. This is the reason for the 5 stars.

I don't know how many people out there would go on a transatlantic vacation trip to relax and have a good time .... yet wake up every morning around 5 to get ready and go do CrossFit.... but let me tell you something.... That's how GOOD CrossFit Oakland Park is!!! I am a CrossFitter from Greece, so a long long way from home and I was quite nervous how I would fit in and if I could find someplace I'd like.... but like I said, I did the research went to a couple of places and trained ... and CrossFit Oakland Park was by far my best choice and one of my best overall CrossFit experiences. I felt so welcomed which is exactly how I needed to feel... and Drew, Eduardo and Nathan made all this happen. I went there 3 consecutive days and on the first day I did 2 workouts! I'm telling you I didn't wanna leave and kept wanting for more! I can't thank these guys or recommend them enough!!! So yes, naturally you get the picture, its a 5 star experience from me, for feeling right at home, for trainer's quality, instructions, getting through to you, and firing you all up, for WOD design and Box space and layout, everything, but mostly for giving me my best memories from my first trip in the US. Thank you so much guys! smile emoticon Also great pleasure to have met some 4-5 CrossFitters that I trained with. I hope I see you all again one day... so yeah... take care and merry Christmass! :)
