We were in Fuerteventura in Christmas 2014, with our children, then 16 and 17 years old. Paolo, Giulio and Ivan were just great!!! Paolo is a natural born teacher, with great passion and a true gift for teaching. We travelled to Fuerteventura for this, and we were not deceived. Security is always the top priority, and the whole school is made up of sociable and fun people.
We all strongly recommend the school both for beginners and for advanced surfers.

We had intended to do this a couple of years ago but never made it due to unforeseen circumstances.
We booked it up during one of the most unsettled periods of weather that the Island had experienced for years, which included a very strong wind.
The instructor (Alex), was excellent and spent a short time guiding us through the training session. When he was satisfied that we could control the Segways we set off in a line on our adventure towards the lighthouse at El Cotillo. After a few minutes, Alex stopped us and switched off Training Mode, obviously feeling confident of our abilities. Off we set again, experiencing some horrendous winds and some squally rain. The route consisted of pavements, good roads, less-good roads, rough tracks and sandy paths.
We all found that controlling the Segway was rather easy once we got the hang of it. One uses the lean of ones body to accelerate and brake, and a simple push of the handlebars to change direction.
I would recommend this to anyone of all ages. Fabulous experience which that I would love to do again.

Family of five (incl. three kids - 15, 13 & 9) really enjoyed our trip.
Suddenly the geography of Fuerteventura and all the Canary Islands came alive, with their 20 million-year history of volcanoes, erosion, microclimates, the importance of water, forging a life in hostile conditions etc. Great way to spend 4 hours.

My friend and I took a Surfing course with Pat & his brother Gil on a recent holiday in Fuerteventura. The guys were very welcoming & focused heavily on the fun factor in learning how to surf which was great. The background they teach you & tips they give along the way in the water is awesome and best of all is that it's a maximum of four people in the lesson so you really get a lot of 1:1 instructor time. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone looking to learn to surf in a relaxed but professional environment.

Corralejo Dunes

Wow this place is truly beautiful. The sand dunes are really impressive and as it’s such a large area there is no chance of it feeling overcrowded. It’s great to walk through the dunes and along the beach front watching the kite surfers but the wind whips up here so it’s unlikely you’ll get the chance to settle here to do a bit of sunbathing. Still definitely worth a visit and no issue of finding somewhere to pull over and park your car.

Calderon Hondo

Reviewed By lbj17 - Royal Tunbridge Wells, United Kingdom

We have been round the volcano several times and there are always plenty people here exploring. Park near the camel rides sign if there is room. I find walking anti clockwise is easier on my knees. There is a short spur off the circular path to the crater, where there are plenty ground squirrels seeking food.
The cobbled path round the back of the volcano is a bit wobbly in places and isn't suitable for those with limited mobility.
Usually good for seeing grey shrikes, trumpeter finches and ravens.
There is a longer loop that can be followed from the crater down the untarmaced road towards Tamaragua, then looping back towards Lajares - c 8kms in total.

Wow, what a fabulous little spot. The village has a small harbour overlooked by some cafes, tavernas on the cliff top. Fabulous views all along the coast, with amazing sandy Beaches and bays to explore. A good walk or drive along the beach road, path leads to some great bays and secluded coves. It extends along to the lighthouse, with amazing views and sandy bays to swim or relax in. Fantastic beautiful relaxing place.
