Been to Plastinarium for the first time and we were absolutely stunned by the work of Gunther von HAGENS. The thin line between anatomy and art seems to disappear here. Still, if you go you have to keep in mind that these are human bodies, one can find this too much. You can even visit the dissection room where you can take a close look and ask questions to the anatomists working there.
There is a small entrance fee and photos are allowed free of charge, as long as you take them for private use.
The only negative point is the lack of English text on some of the pieces descriptions, where only German and Polish are available.
To get there, from Berlin central station (Hauptbahnhof) take the train for Guben, a little town on the border with Poland. When you get there, walk through the park across the train station and you will see the museum entrance. There are signs inside the train station as well.
To visit the entire place you need about 2,5 hours. Trains from and to Berlin run every one hour or so even on Sundays.

Centre Of Sports And Recreation, Adventure Swimming Slides, All Indoor Sports Activities.
We really enjoyed the water park. It is reasonably priced and very clean. Our son loved the water slides and kid area. Remember that they don't allow board shorts. But if you don't have a swim suite you can purchase one at the sports shop there and the swimming suites are priced ok.

After seeing the movie several thousand times, have always wanted to visit.
We had a private tour (with our knowledgeable travelling tour guide) as part of a battlefield tour with Leger holidays.
Well worth a visit and see for yourself what happened on the escape.
Do not expect to see buildings. These are remains or virtually non existent recognizable features. The famous tunnel 'Harry' location is now marked out by a line on the soil floor and you can follow the path of the tunnel and imagine what it would have been like.
The whole site tells the story of that escape. Make sure you visit Zagan railway station and the memorial to the 50 located not far from the rail station.
A must see for those interested in history,my only upset was I never met Steve McQueen.

The Christ the King statue just outside the city of Swienodzin is well worth visiting. Completed in 2010, this statue is the tallest statue of Jesus Christ in the world. It is truly a sight to behold. There is no admission fee and persons physically able may walk up the hill on which the statue stands to its base. Refreshments and souvenirs may be purchased; convenient parking and bathroom facilities are available as well.

Beautiful open-air folk museum, easy to reach by public bus from Zielona Gora. There are various old timber buildings and historic furniture inside. Good place to learn about daily life in ancient times. Nice visit.

A very nice placed situated among trees and nature. There are three paths of different difficulty. Instructors are very helpful and know a lot of languages so there should be no problems for foreigners to communicate.
A very nice addition are places for visitors and watchers to sit.

Palmiarnia (Palm House) is located in Zielona Gora at the top Vine Hill. Surrounded by so-called vine-covered park it is one of the most recognizable landmarks of the city and the province of Lubuskie. It consists of extensive glass pavilion and the house of winemaker. The palm house grow exotic plants (over 200 species). Unique in Europe is located in the interior of the largest in the Old Continent palm tree, you can also see turtles and fish in Aquariums. In addition to admiring the exotic plants and animals Palmiarnia serves as the restaurant, which are organized various cultural events and occasional events (concerts, discos, balls, weddings, fashion shows, karaoke contests). It is a great place for a walk around the hill as well as a place to go for a dinner.

Największy w Gubinie i okolicy budynek sakralny, zniszczony działaniami wojennymi, częściowo odrestaurowany i wysprzątany. Warto wybrać się na zwiedzanie i wejść na górę.
