Smart stylish bar/cafe and pleasantly hosted by a Yorkshire bi lingual guy. Great music and for the sportos good football coverage of current matches.
The "terrierre" area backs onto the town and that is well worth a visit - 13 km of beach with a beautiful forest running down to the beach edge. Great for walking cycling and just chilling out.

Myself and my boys (15 and 8) loved this place, the track is some 750m in length, with plenty of twists, turns and straights. The Karts are 275cc, plenty quick. Safety is taken very seriously here, with a solid briefing pre-race and constant monitoring of all drivers during the race.
It was reasonably priced, very easy to find, we went twice and had we been staying longer would definitely have gone for a third time!

Very interesting visit from an extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. A bit long-winded and preachy at times but the practical demonstrations of napping flint, making fire, spear throwing and shifting a menhir were great fun. My granddaughter loved it. One word of warning the visit was only in French and I don't know if there are visits conducted in English. I am pretty much bilingual, but other visitors might find it a problem.

This hour was for my other half as he loves to water ski but has been some time since he's tried it. Spent the hour wisely on the water even though not used to cable skiing it was an experience. Chilled out spectating on huge bean bags on decking taking in the sun whilst watching the skiers go round the circuit. Good value at €18 an hour, plus suit hire if you don't have one.

Defeated in the presidential elections of 1919, "Pere la Victoire" retired from political life. Between the ocean and his rented fisherman’s house, Georges Clemenceau, a close friend of Claude Monet, fulfilled the wager to create an Impressionist garden on the dunes. The house has been preserved in the same state as it was at the time the so-called "Tigre" died. Open: > 15th May to 15th September: from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. > 16th September to 14th May: from 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. Last admission 1 hour before closing time. Closed: > Mondays from 16th September to 14th May. Admission fees: Adults : 5,50 €; Concessions (18 to 25) = 4 €; Free admission: minors under 18*; Free admission: 18-25 years old* (citizens of one of the 27 countries of the EU or are non-European permanent residents of France) * excluding school groups
Found this place just by chance when out for a walk. Situated right on the sea front. The house is worth a wander round with lots of explanations and pictures. Though the highlight for us was definitely the garden which was overlooking the sea, well kept and was a real joy to wander round.

Fantastic sandy beach with a few rock pools to keep the kids entertained. even though this is a popular beach, you are never far away from seclusion. There are a couple of good Bar/restaurants on the road leading from the car park to the beach and the area is served well with cycle lanes which run through the coastal forest.

Myself, my wife and 4 teenagers visited in August on an unfortunately cloudy and chillier day than we had hoped for. Forget that though, this water park is amazing, best I've been to and I've visited several! I paid for the Serenity VIP lodge which was worth every cent, really well done and felt like our things were safely locked away which is always a concern at water parks. We had our own decked area away from the crowds but with a view over to the slides, our own shower cubicle, our own hot tub jacuzzi, table & chairs (table has a hot plate in the centre for cooking food that's provided) mini bar fridge, sun loungers and deck chairs. Half the decking is protected from the sun with a covered wooden pagoda.
The park does food in the VIP area which we didn't opt for but would definitely have it next time we go as it looked fantastic when we saw other people having it. One thing I would suggest to improve is VIP being available to order all day, not to have to order by 1130am.
Large pool, separate wave pool, loads of water slides plus a big area for small kids. The water was lovely and warm throughout.
Several eating places including the normal baguette, fries and paninis but also tapas and more elaborate sit down meal restaurant available. Obviously ice cream, lollies and of course churros are available.
Great park, super amazing value when booking the joint ticket with Indian Forest adventure park (also an amazing place!)
We will be returning for many years to come!

While our children were at the Eurocamp Kids Club we escaped for a group paddle boarding lesson with Julien. We had a fantastic time. Lot's of laughing and we managed to paddle the length of the lake and back by the end. Julien easily manages to switch in and out of French and English during the lesson - the perfect teacher!

This is my local beach, its at least 15kms of sandy beach stretching from Le Rocher past La Tranche sur Mer. Very busy in the summer, quiet in the winter, great for long walks in a completely natural environment of dunes and forest.
