It was decorated beautifully and excellent craftsmanship. The story line/theme was good but should have made it more interesting and allowed for more interaction through props. It was a perfect fit for 10 girls to each have a chance to get involved. Awesome backdrops, decor and sound effects. We almost escaped by 20 seconds!

Quaint and unusual and highly entertaining! Not your cookie cutter museum. Each room carries its own charm and you don't really know what to expect as you move from room to room. They have everything from a miniature carousel to a little insect exhibit you can walk through with a flashlight. Best suited for younger children ages 1-6. LHCM is also part of the passport program, so if you're visiting from out of state and belong to another participating museum, you can actually get free admission!

Hsi Lai Temple

Hsi Lai Temple encompasses 15 acres and a floor area of 102,432 square feet. The temple's Ming (1268-1644 C. E.) and Ching (1644-1911 C.E.) dynasty architecture is faithful to the traditional style of buildings, gardens and statuary of traditional ancient Chinese monasteries. Hsi Lai means "coming to the West" and signifies the dedication of the Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Order to spread the teachings of the Buddha to those in the West. The International Buddhist Progress Society, a nonprofit organization, is the chartered name for the temple. Hsi Lai Temple was built to serve as a spiritual and cultural center for those interested in learning more about Buddhism and the Chinese culture. It is the idea of Venerable Master Hsing Yun to propagate "Humanistic Buddhism" and to create a Pure Land here on earth. Hsi Lai Temple is built to fulfill these goals in the United States. The temple's objectives are to nurture Buddhist missionaries through education, to propagate Buddhism through cultural activities, to benefit society through charitable programs, and to edify the populace through Buddhist practices. This place brings so much positive energy. The building mimics the forbidden palace in China with the style of Chinese Ching Dynasty design. There is a front shrine (They called it "Bodhisattva Hall") and a main shrine. Many people didn't know there is another shrine after the front Bodhisattva Hall and totally missed it. Make sure you go pass the walkway by either side of the Bodhisattva Hall which leads you toward the courtyard where you will see the main shrine.

Nice little garden nestled on the north side of CSUF. It has a lot of different plants and trees including tropical varieties so sometimes it feels like you're in a different place when walking around.
Went there when the corpse plant they had was blooming. (Blooms every 10 years and smells like rotting flesh) I was just curious what it would smell like haha but glad I went cause I got to check out the rest of the place.

La Mirada Theatre

Reviewed By Alexandra T - Murrieta, California

The La Mirada Theater is in a shopping center that gets very crowded on weekends, but there is free parking(but a lot of the spaces were striped badly, with no room for a car!) There are two separate entrances, so make sure you know where your 'will call' tickets will be or you will have to walk around the building. At intermission, be ready for long, long, long lines at both the men's and ladies' rooms. The seats were comfortable and even the balcony had a good view.

Our group of 6 adults really enjoyed this show and dinner. The food was brought out hot and tasty which is amazing considering how many people they have to prepare for and doing it up to 3 shows per day. Serving staff was attentive, friendly and efficient. There are many ways to spend your money on the numerous souvenirs and drinks! Very pricey but it is your decision as to spend or not. The highlight was catching a flower for my wife! Never expected to do that. The horses are amazing and the show is pretty well done.

Laguna Lake Park

Reviewed By India C - Orange County, California

Started hiking by the Equestrian Center and was inundated with historic trees, mountain bikers and water-conscious landscaped areas. Spectacular Jacaranda trees,100+year old Eucalyptus and waterfowl made my ambulatory footslog pleasant on a dirt trail.

Fishing is allowed at lake here with a permit. Restrooms have no working electricity---how efficient---and are original architecture from its 1963 opening. Recent area renovation added large boulders, wood bridges, flowing water features and photo worthy hillside landscaping.

Locals, city neighbors and visitors enjoy Laguna Lake. Sunset at the lake is romantic largely attributed to melodic flowing water sounds, little warblers chirping and songbirds singing. This is fine for a leisurely stroll or a several mile endeavor can be had at the Juanita Cooke Trail.

Can play slow especially if you have a group in front of you like we did that must have been playing for a lot of money since they looked at every putt as if the Master's championship was on the line.

Expectations were high for the entire family and Disneyland did not disappoint.

We’d been to Disneyworld in FL but never Disneyland. We really liked the smaller size of Disneyland. The weather was perfect during the day but got chilly at night. Not sure what we were thinking but we didn’t bring enough layers so most of us were pretty cold by the end of the day.
