This gem of a city park has been tended and well maintained. Paths meander up hill and down. Splendid plantings make a pleasant backdrop for walking, sitting, and on the extensive play apparatus for children, just plain fun

Relate bien la vie de nos campagnes dans un passé qui n'est pas si lointain et fait appel à beaucoup de souvenirs assez émouvants

The Massif du Sancy offers a good choice of lovely ridge walking on open mountainsides with great views. The summit itself is marred by the wooden stairs which lead from the top of the cable car but the rest of the massif offers unspoilt mountain scenery.

This valley is breathtakingly beautiful and also a nature reserve - amazing number of wildflowers and butterflies. Fabulous walks take you through this perfect u-shaped glaciated valley, dominated by the massif of the Puy de Sancy. Top tip is to have lunch at the Buron de Chaudefour near Moneaux - aim to get there at the end of a shorter walk or half way round the full walk (14.5km, 5 hours) - for walks, use the Chamina guide for the Massif du Sancy et Artense.

The Basilique Notre-Dame d'Orcival was one of our favorite spots during a recent stay in the Auvergne region. It is an excellent example of Romanesque architecture. It is a beautiful church that evoked a strong sense of spiritual serenity in both my wife and me. We would definitely return if in the area again (and we hope to be back).

The walk to both cascades is rather easy, and you can start by either one; you will find a Y at the beginning of the walk, not far from the cemetery in Mont Dore. Free attraction, you walk on well maintained trail up to each cascade, under the shades of trees
You can start from Mont Dore downtown, then take D996, and you will find a sign indicating the cascades; or take your car up to the parking lot near a cemetery;

Superbe après-midi avec notre enfant dans la chèvrerie.
Isabelle et Béatrice font découvrir leur travail avec plusieurs races de chèvres. Les enfants peuvent nourrir les chevreaux au biberon. Nous pouvons brosser les chèvres et apprendre à traire. On discute facilement du quotidien de la chèvrerie: alimentation, entretien, rythme du travail jusqu'au fromage. On participe donc vraiment tous.
C'est une superbe activité à faire avec des enfants même très jeunes.
On peut y acheter du fromage (naturellement fait avec le lait de la chèvrerie), des savons faits avec le lait, du miel local.
Attention pas de terminal CB mais chèque accepté.
Il y a beaucoup de monde, il faut réserver ou arriver en avance pour la visite. Deux visites, une à 16h, l'autre à 17h15.

Très chouette visite avec notre fils. Nous souhaitions en apprendre plus sur le St nectaire et sa fabrication et c'est chose faite. Le fromage est excellent. Notre fils a adoré se promener dans la ferme et approcher les animaux veaux, génisses, moutons, cochons.

This swimming pool is very convenant but unfortunatly too small for the area. Kids did not want to stay more that an hour ...they said they felt squized!!!
