Observation Decks

Reviewed By darkerjoe - Alfajarin, Spain

Airports are airports, obviously. However, this one has several observation decks to rest peacefully and to enjoy the planes' view. There are also many duty free shops - with some interesting discounts- and some bars to have a drink. The travellers seats have plug-in connectors to charge the mobil or digital gadgets.

Einkaufszentrum Glatt

Reviewed By FormerCaliBoy - Zurich, Switzerland

The Glattzentrum is actually located in Wallisellen and can be accessed with public bus, street tram and the S-bahn (less than 10 minute walk). This multi-level mall is filled with restaurants, clothing, grocery/food, flower shops, electronics, hygiene articles and more. In addition to an information booth, there is also an SBB ticketing sales counter. I bought my winter snow boots here at a great price! There is a three-level circular tube slide and a play area for kids.
There are seasonal displays set-up inside the mall from the X-mas tree, ice skating, wine expo and more.
The Glatt has clean restrooms, customer parking, but the best item about this mall is its location with public transit access routing directly to the Zurich main train station.

Sim Academy

Nirgendwo finden Sie attraktivere kulinarisch-aviatische Kombinationsmoglichkeiten. Zudem finden Sie uns direkt am Flughafen Zurich!

I had a great experience in the PC7 simulator and it was a lot of fun to fly from Meiringen around in the Swiss Alps. Experienced the difficulties of flying in a squadron and managing the orientation in acrobatics and with the help of pilot Schönenberger it all went well. My girlfriend enjoyed her flight in the Boeing 777. A nice evening with friends ended with a drink in the runway34.

First you would think it's a fine, relatively small museum when you're in the main hall. But when you leave it, there are more and bigger hangars with tons of well displayed planes and artefacts of aviation history - from Switzerland and also International. To recommend very much!

Wine Tower

Reviewed By Peter W - Coupeville, Washington

Inside an airport hotel atrium lobby is this tall tower of wine bottles in a seemingly endless array of wine racks, all enclosed in a large glass vault.
Then someone orders a bottle of wine.
Blue lights flash from within the vault and a woman acrobat is lifted up, upside down mind you, to the correct level. She flips right side up, selects the correct wine bottle, and is lowered gently to the floor.
The wine is served and the vault goes dormant until the next bottle is ordered.
Just watching is agree at way to spend the evening.
