The view along the broadwalk is amazing. The walk along the broadwalk is easy and suitable for family with young children. There is also sleigh ride available near the visitor center which you can take. It cost $25 per adult and $10 per child for a 30-minute ride.

Stateline Fire Lookout

This much-overlooked point provides one of the best views of Lake Tahoe.

Reviewed By GlobalVillage - Burlington, Vermont

Stateline Fire Lookout may have the best view of Lake Tahoe. It is a relatively easy walk up, has gorgeous views, has free parking, is kid and dog friendly (there are even doggy doodie bags at the entrance), has informative displays and a bathroom at the summit. We lounged around at the summit, read the displays, enjoyed the views, and had a picnic. On this mid-week, bright and sunny November day, we saw a few kids and lots of happy dogs with their human companions!

Kings Beach State Recreation Area

Reviewed By Bigredmachine

Unlike the beaches along the Pacific coastline from Southern California to Washington State where the general public has a right to full access of it, most of Lake Tahoe's beaches and shoreline are private and the public cannot legally access it; that is why you are so many no trespassing signs along the lake. This is what makes Kings Beach and the other state beaches so important. Kings Beach State Recreation center is located just across the California/Nevada border. There is a fairly large parking lot, right along the beach and parking is about $5 per car. In addition to the beach and Beach activities, there are barbecue and picnic areas available on a first come, first served basis. The beach is also adjacent to shops, restaurants of the town of Kings Beach.

The lake is beautiful, but the tour was such a disappointment, and a bit of a rip off. We started over a half an hour late. There were too many people together (14) which meant everything took too long, we spent a lot of time waiting, and the group spread out so that there was little interaction with the "guides". I use quotes because the guides while nice enough, added no value - they provided little information and couldn't answer the most obvious questions (are the fish natural or stocked, how much do the waterfront homes go for).

We had been warned beforehand that lunch was changed to snacks (web site has since been updated), but the snacks were pitiful (other than some nice fresh fruit) - cheap packaged cookies, granola bars and trail mix. Drinks were odd cans of off brand sodas - not a simple coke or sprite to be had.

The general consensus between several of the participants was that it was terribly boring. We ended up back at the starting point 3.5 hours after we hit the water and we're given the choice to end the tour or keep going to complete the original 4.5 hour tour. Only a couple people elected to keep going - everyone else decided it was better to call it quits - that should tell you just how good the tour was.

Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park

Lake Tahoe is the bluest of blues. Try your feet in the water. Arctic ice, or so it seems. Even in the summer it is cold. I watch people doing water sports and I always wonder how and why. Perhaps in a boat. But waterskiing.

Great wonderful state park and lake.

This okace was great. We stopped in on the last day of our visit and didnt expect it to be much, but it was far and away the best mini golf places we have been to.
The cost was $7 (maybe $7.50 i dont remember) but there were a ton of great holes.

Our favorite was the giant slot machine that spun after you entered your shot.....giving you a hole in one or some other change to your score. If you could only do one course - do the one closest to the street.

Crystal Bay Club Casino

Reviewed By Wyndwhystle - Gardnerville, NV

We are long time Northern Nevada residents and not interested in gambling, but the Crystal Bay Club offers regular concerts in the Crown Room by interesting musical artists. We saw Elephant Revival who had just played in Seattle, Portland, and San Francisco, so we feel fortunate to be able to hear music like this in our corner of the world. The Crown Room is standing room only as they removed some side booths that used to be available for an extra fee to cram more people in. Sitting in a booth would have been more comfortable for these fans in their 60's, but the sound was good and the show worth the modest ticket price.
If you are put off by crowds and inhaling second hand weed at levels that reminded me of Winterland in the 1970's this might not be the place for you.

We had 4 adults and 3 kids and ALL had a blast! There are different courses for each persons level of bravery but even our youngest who is 8yrs old enjoyed the black diamond course. The staff is very friendly, helpful and informative.

Note... the bathrooms are in the parking lot so make sure you go before you enter. Also bring water and a snack because there are places to take a break if needed.
Lots of fun!!!!!

Highly recommend this activity if you have time while in Tahoe.

Only hit a bucket of balls, but clean range, friendly golf shop and it was 10 bucks for a large bucket of balls and there seemed to be a good amount of balls there. It's a public course and they also will let you use a few clubs at the range for free. I didn't play the course just hit the range.
